Users that are having issues with the new media, please be patient as I'm dealing with one users issues at a time, so that I can check and make the appropriate changes to prevent further errors in the future.
Right now I'm dealing with the error that both Ramanator and swj123 are getting.

Ok I figured out the path issue, DFX4 needs the "skins" folder to be inside the RR folder. The way my system is setup is c:/devel/rr and c:/devel/skins If I move the skins directory to c:/devel/rr/skins then it works. Just a heads up for people that don't use the standard paths.
I have tested the skin on the newest build of RR and everything works good except for the weather and the gps gas skin, it may be a configuration error on my part but these two menus appear to be the only one's that didn't work "out of the box"
I tested on mitchjs's RR build and when running on that code the main screen logo is broken. No matter what you choose it doesn't display anything.
HDradio is working good for me on either RR ver.
Overall a very stable and solid build, My favorite feature is being able to reorder the menus seamlessly. Great work!

i can't seem to do this with the new disk system. any ideas?
thanks again for all you (both of you) have done!!!!
First off, putting everything in one list to me makes absolutely NO sense, but that's just me...
Here is one work around, go to browser>search>all then just enter a space, when that gets done, click the manage playlist btn and add the [searchresults] to a disk..

Me too. My usual setup is my entire library playing on shuffle. Or better yet, I can randomize the list and turn off shuffle so I can always see what's coming up next.

And just for good measure you might want to go ahead and create a playlist to make sure things are working.
Still does the same exact thing. Like I said, I dont want to use the playlist option or whatever. I just want to select the album from the list and play it ALL, or be able to skip songs. No playlist! What is different with 4.0 and all the previous versions? I think I'll trash 4.0 and just keep using 3.0. That version works.
EDIT: Got it working. Just went in and changed where the 'browser' button sent me. Instead of sending me to audio_browser_settings.skin, I made it where it sent me to audio browser.skin.

Mitch did a great job of fixing audio switching for what was being used (radio, MP3, Satellite ect). The problem is that it is build off of the 11/02/07 souce code, and this is before the dynamic sliders and a lot of other new RR features were added.
As far as getting HD radio to work, this is not a skin relates issue. I use the HD radio skin here, and it does work well with Mitch's cable, and the HD hardware. If it is not working, it is not because of a skin, but is because of incorrect ini settings, non-registered Dll's or something else.
It's kind of like blaming Microsoft because you open a Word document, and the fonts are the wrong size or are alligned incorrectly.
I understand completely, and I am not blaming the skin at all. I just get more help in here than any where else on these forums. Seeing the HD radio discussed on here mnay times befroe I thought maybe I could get a quick tip to help me out. I'll keep it out of the thread now, my apology.
Everything is still running great. Can't thank you and Blue enough.

The reason that you are having problems lies in the fact the 4.0 now fully uses my RRMedia plugin to manage the audio media. And yes it is a bit different than the old way of how the old browser worked. And going by what you posted to me, sounds like you do not like change of any sort, good or bad. This is also v1.0 of my plugin and many things to be added and tweaked to make it as user friendly as possible, its just not quite where you want it to be like at current release.

The simple solution to your problem would have been to p&h the browser button and then selected to use the old (now outdated) audio_browser method of playing your tunes. Once selected it saves you choice and always uses that for the browser button cmd

Hope this doesn't ruffle any feathers, but as with any new software, or anything else new for that matter, there's always going to be a learning curve. I believe that the implementation of a db in DFX4 was a greatly needed improvement. Not saying that DFX3 had anything wrong with it, but I am seeing greatly improved seek times, the ability to set up a virtual 60 disk changer (using the switch user function of course), setup my music by mood, etc.

This is fixed for the next release, was a button code problem....

It has been mentioned a couple of times, that the flash logo's, clocks and such do not work with Mitch's RR version. Try the last beta released on 05/27/08 and they should work for you.

Yes, definitely a little bit of a learning curve, which is a good thing IMHO. I didn't even know about the option to use the old method (not that I'd want to) until I started pressing buttons and stumbled upon it. You thought of everything didn't you, Blue? The database is amazing.
One thing I've noticed is that I'm always at 100% CPU load when on XM. All the other times I'm at less than 50%. Anyone know what might be going on with that?
