Volume Fade (Front - Rear)
First off since this is my first post on this, i must say this is a sublime skin, i mean everything you could ask for and more.
I do have one small question though though regarding Fading the volume, not increasing or decreasing, but rather from front to rear. I realize that that is not an option in the skin but i am adding this X-Fi Surround 5.1 from creative specificaly to have control over the channels and my subwoofer ""digitally"". I realize this can be achieved through the software that is provided but Digital FX is so pleasing on the eye that i would hate to go out of it and go to xp just to make those changes. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
Oh and by the way my programming skills is non existant, i took like half a C++ class over a decade ago.

I have the problem with Streets and Trips buttons too dark to see. I see it was reported on the bug list but could someone please tell me if it's a easy fix I can do? Thanks

Just wanted to make sure I follow skinning protocol and common courtesy.
Found a program I liked, found an exisiting (free) skin that worked with the program. Remapped the buttons for DFX 4.0 to work with it, thought others might like to use.
I don't want credit for it, although it would be nice.
Would it be OK to post the skin file here, or is that bad form? First time I've done this, so I wanted to check.
TY

Since this is open "open source" and a community of development I don't see why that would be out of line...?

Skin not displaying correctly - vertical bar in middle

Thanks Ramanator, I openned RRconfig and changed Fastmode from "ON" to "GDI" and this fixed it. The whole time I was testing I was changing fastmode as I didn't know it had this effect at the time.
Had no other problems so far other than CPU usage at 40-50% on the main menu and 60-70% on the Gauges. This is after trying points 1-9 on http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-f...ad-runner.html and tried the Flash fix that came with DFX4. I don't want to have to remove the Carputer in order to connect to the Internet at home and try point 10, so I'm going to see if I can download the Adobe Flash 9 installer exe later and reply with an update.

ive been trying to figure out why i wasn't seeing any playlists in the manage playlist screen.
i never needed the screen, but now i do since its the only way to add my entire collection (through searching and adding the search results).
anyways, the fix was adding the playlist file types to the "Audio File Types" in RR Config (*.m3u, *.pls, etc).
just thought i'd put that out there in case anyone else missed that, too. i never thought to do that

The gauge I am using only goes up to 2,400 feet.... I never realized that, as I do live in Florida (The FLAT state) hahha I am only like 20 feet above sea level here.
If someone knows SwishMax, and can increase the limit from 2400, that would be great! The gauge source code is avail IN THIS POST.

Ive been whipping my mp3 collection into shape after finding out that i needed all my cover art in the respective folders (they were are all embedded) and then embedding the lyrics (which i Kept in a common folder) for a few days now. (large library) Instead of asking a bunch of questions i searched my butt off and downloaded; av albumartfixer, mp3tagger, albumartfixer, minilyrics, evillyrics, lyrics3, lyric tagger, mediamonkey and toast and some others. Think I 'bout got it. Point is i test ran the hole show on my desktop, then laptop, and just got to putting it on the carputer.
Ive cant figure out why the gamma slider has become non-responsive. slider part is anyway the 2 buttons work. just cant adjust it.a little help and or the rr.ini and rr config setting related to gamma would be appreciated. I am a novice user.
I have the latest ver. of rr with the beta on top.
Everything is superb with the skin, yet i have a request. i understand the lyrics need to be embedded for the lyric page in dfx4 to show them. is there a way to have the lyric page look at the common folder where common lyric programs and plugins cache their .txt and .lrc files?

I noticed that happens when i move the slider to a setting but then "quit" without applying the setting; from then on, the slider don't work unless the skin is restarted. If you hit "apply" all the time, it will work fine.
It has nothing to do with rr.ini gamma setings.
There is a bug report on it i believe.

Got ya... Didn't know if that was the case or there was something wrong on my end. I'll look into it, thanks.
