Hi Guys,
Well I am trying hard to get the BUTTON and ICON change...
The Button ( text ) display changes BUT I AM NOT GETTING ANY ICONS ( its blank )
Can some 1 pls help me as how do i go about it...

I tried to create my own icons ( PNG format ) and also tried to replay from existing ones but still they dont sow up.....

PLS guys help me out

I have check the btn edtr and see absolutly no probs with it... with RR open and changing one of the displayed main menu screen icons, as soon is i select any pic from any location and click open the icon changes to what i selected...

maybe a screen cap of one of the btn's your trying to change showing the button properties window from the BE.

I have a couple questions that I could not solve on my own.

1. GPS Auto switch (iGuidance): I use the GPS skin with the music info across the top. When it auto switches for navigation it goes to the full GPS screen (no music across the top) and it takes a few seconds to load up this skin. Plus I would like to keep it with the music info across the top.

2. I would like to disable the fade in when switching to GPS. It takes too long on my system (transitions is already -1)

I would also like to contribute to any who is using the web browser this tip.
I missed the OSK from 3.0. Now we only have the URL button.
Change this line in wbrowser.skin

This will give you the OSK on press and URL on press&hold

You can also change the label to match

1) I have fixed this for the next release, so it remembers what view you have it set to.

2) I did this as personally I HATED the whole white flash and iguidance appearing, then embedding. THis makes it smoother, but yes, is slower on a lot of systems. Open the iGuidance_Music.skin, and remove the forceeffects line. That will remove the fade.

I am not sure how much I will be on the forums for the next couple days with Fay headed out way. As far as the forecast goes, it is not going to hit here directly... BUT we are still going to get 50 MPH + winds from it. That , more than likely, means the power will be going out intermittently.

Here is the latest radar, and yes, it is really, really nasty outside right now! (That little star is where I am located)

With the DFX Button editor, in the helper files folder, you can put anything you want on the empty buttons.

Open the exectbl.ini in the skin folder, search for "Garmin" and change to the correct path on your system.

For some strange reason when I type a URL and click the enter key nothing happens. The keyboard is responding (shows URL I'm typing) but it appears the enter key is not doing anything. To make matters worse there is no way for me to back out of this screen. Am I the only one having this issue?

This doesn't happen if I use an external keyboard

@hpric: Hmmm This is the first time this has been reported... The Enter key has the standard Key13 (Carriage return character). If you get stuck in the screen, try pressing the cancel key on the top left of the OSK.

If you can't figure it out, I can have a look at it Sunday after next if you are going to be at the meet.

I just went out to the car and was able to duplicate this problem... Same as described the enter does not seem to activate the URL entry. From regular keyboard it works fine.

: Also, the new weather looks great, what's + on the radar button now? Different function?

Hmm I will have to look into it a bit further then....

A plus sign (+) on any button on the skin means it has a second function if pressed and held. In the case of the radar button on the weather screens, it will bring up the European weather mentioned a page or so back.
