In this file "EXTERNAL_Music_GPS.skin" I found
Code:
RoadRunner Skin RRScreen IGUIDANCE. iGuidance_Music_OFF.png,iGuidance_Music_OFF.png,iGuidance_Music_On.png,iGuidance_Music_OFF.png NG,80,70,639,523 INC,DFX_Font_Color.txt /FORCEEFFECT=TRUE /EFFECTIN=0

I found the same thing in this file "EXTERNAL_GPS.skin"

Forceefect looks to be commented out already. I removed it just to be sure but I was still getting the fade.

I don't mean to correct you but I had to remove the "/EFFECTIN=0" line to disable the fade.

I have a more general question related to this though. I thought that a "/" (forward slash) comments the line out (ignored)?

For about 99% of the time yes /=line commented out, there are a few skin cmds that have that as part of the cmd.

I didn´t find anyone question about the color menu... when I use this menu, I must change the background color first, otherwise, the other colors buttons don´t work... are you guys facing the same problem?

I am having an issue with sirius. I shut my carpc down with hibernation in the skin digitalfx. When I start it up there is no sound with sirius. I have to exit out of roadrunner and open it again to get sound. I tried it in other skins and the same issue. Is there something I am doing wrong?
I had it working great before I did a full format...not sure what is going on here.
I am using a laptop.

John, I guess this should be a bug report, but I only have a few minutes. The FM radio doesn't have a radio_menu_function.skin. Without this skin, you cannot do a local station scan on Radiator-based, ADS, or Silabs FM radios. As a work-around, I just changed the "LOCAL SCAN" button to "FUNCTION||SCAN" and copied the radio_player.skin to radio_menu_function.skin. The screen flashes as it loads the three screens and then proceeds with the scan, but its almost unnoticeable.

The "LOCAL" button could have been used, but then I wouldn't have a way to switch between the two. I guess it may may be better to use a byindicator command on the existing "scan" button: "BYIND;LOCAL;SCAN<<FUNCTION||SCAN". This would completely eliminate the need for the second button.

I read about this free program that works with Windows Mobile phones in this post http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/soft...e-control.html The download link for the software (myMobiler) is there too.

Since I have a Motorola Q (and none of the RR phone programs seem to work with it), I decided to give this a shot.

One of the members built a skin for "Simplisitique", so I decided I needed a lesson in skinning to make it work with my favorite skin, DFX4.0. Not bad for a first time me thinks.

Basically, I used the DFX 4.0 Phoco skin and remapped all the buttons and labels from one to the other, and guess what, it worked, even the OSK!

Now, I would LOVE to have someone check it, add stuff to it, clean it up if need be, etc. One problem I can't seem to get around is the size of the Motorola phone screen that shows up. You can see in the pics below that the right 1/3rd of it is cut off.

The coolest thing about this setup is I can use the TS to dial a number, and when the call kicks in, it fires up my Onstar / BT conversion kit mentioned here. So, I can see what is displayed on the screen, make contact list calls, and use all the functions of my phone on screen, and talk over the factory mic and speakers! The GMOS-06 kit also mutes the sound going through the amp (fades) while a call is in progress, and then fades back on when the call is over.

Here is the code for the skin. I also needed to add the path to the ExecTbl.ini file manually, it woudn't "stick" when I used the button editor for some reason.

Nice... It's too bad the Phone integrations have seemed to fall off. None of these programs out there work with my voyager and I am not willing to give up my 3G. I hope someone comes out with something for CDMA.

Quantum: Find this line in your skin:

A01,100,81,251,395,000

And replace with this one:

A01,112,64,317,446,000

That should fix the area the app appears in and let you see the whole display.

First I have to say that this skin is awesome! I've been a LSX skin user and just switched over to this one. Both skins are great but it feels like this one has a lot more features and more flexible.

I just got through reading all of the DFX 4.0 posts. Took a couple of days.

docbreezy requested this option below and I wanted to know if there was some way to get it working. I just setup the 5.1 surround sound on my M10K (after 3 years) and sometimes I have to minimize RR to be able to adjust my sound settings to the rear speakers and sub. I was hoping there was some way to get this integrated into the, line in, mic and aux setting in the mixer screen??

I realize that that is not an option in the skin but i am adding this X-Fi Surround 5.1 from creative specificaly to have control over the channels and my subwoofer ""digitally"". I realize this can be achieved through the software that is provided but Digital FX is so pleasing on the eye that i would hate to go out of it and go to xp just to make those changes. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Oh and by the way my programming skills is non existant, i took like half a C++ class over a decade ago.

I did check hte Help file. And i followed the instructions. and I got the Spectrum Analyzer to work via AVS. But only on the Album cover.

I would also like to get it working on on the TOP part of the screen. So it works on the MAIN page as well.

And btw (DFX Team)...just to report to whomever is in charge of keeping the "HELP"file up to date.
The section that says "click HERE" to the the analyzer working on the first page, doest work. Infact the Hyperlink is completely gone. And there isn't a section referring to this setup in the DFX4.0 help file.
