I have the almost the same issues with mine. when I go to the wireless page in DFX 4.0, it will start off with the "wait" or standby message, then it forces my computer into hybernation. I stopped using it. I'm using windows to manage wireless as well.

Anyone have problem with the font size at 1024x600?

the text are too big and the bottom buttons are not scaling properly.

After some experimenting I made the youtube screen load. I downloaded the youtube plugin from the plugins forum. Had to create a plugins folder on roadrunner folder and copy the youtube folder inside. Added the commands to the roadrunner exectbl.ini and now the screen loads. I can hit search and it will return a list of videos but clicking play wont do anything.
What am I missing now?

I am a noob so I hope I did not make the colossal mistake and ask a question that has been answered or not using the search feature.

I am trying to integrate my V1 with the DFX skin and I just cannot figure out, how integrate my working V1 interface with the provided radar skin. Any insight that you can offer would be great because I am willing/wanting to learn.

I don't think the RADAR screen was made for a Radar Detector. The radar screen is for weather maps. If you want to integate your working V1 interface, you have to embed it and launch it as external app.

Ok, Thanks for that info that makes sense. I was trying to make this happen but then I saw the already made skin so I was trying to understand on how to point the skin to my program. Thanks again!

I think there IS a screen for Valentine 1 (if that's what V1 means); might have to wait for John to answer.

Yes, I have a valentine 1 with the USB PC interface and would love to have a nice integration with the skin. Thanks for the info!

As far as I know there is a Valentine.skin. Look in the help file to see how to set it up.

Ok i'm having a similar problem and I haven't found any answers to this. When I make any changes in the DFX button editor nothing in the exectbl.ini gets saved. I make changes then click done, close the program and no changes are saved. If i go back into the DFX editor program the changes I made are lost. I searched the forum for answers but I couldn't find any answers. Does someone have a suggestion to fix this?

To help save me searching through 155 pages, I tried the search function but it just brought this thread up.
I had DFX4 working desktop but when i transfered to the car it mostly seems OK apart from the media buttons at the bottom of the main menu and in the GPS screen and maybe other but haven't checked them.
Instead of having the symbol for previous, play, next, vol-, vol+ & mute it has numbers 1,2,3,4- 4+ 5.
Is there maybe something that has not been updated on the car side?

Go to johnwpb.com and download the install file. It installs more than just the skin files there are fonts involved as well.

It don't work for me either. just to make sure, after "done" did you go to <FILE> then <SAVE and EXIT> ?

Hey all.
I have the same problem. RR minimizes and freefone shows up on its own. No chance to exit freefone or to bring RR back up. Taskmanager is the only way to get out.
What can I do to keep RR from minimizing?
