See if you have this line in RR.ini
backgroundpath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Backgrounds\
if not add it.

I will check, but isn't what doing it through the roadrunnerconfig.exe does?

I will do that. But shouldn't the skin work by default? The last installation worked fine except the logo not showing up. Of course, that was installed over DFX 2.0 so maybe that added some backgrounds? Not sure

DFX 2.0 I think had it's own background folder in the skin folder.

Yes, it did, but in the last release the Baclgrounds folder is now in the Road Runner directory, as it is a new standard that was created so all skins can share the same backgrounds, instead of having multiple backgrounds folders taking up space.
As far as iGuidance, I agree, remove the skin and re-install. I use iGuidance myself, and the GPS button when the skin installer is done is defaulted to iGuidance. Looking at the capture of the button editor, you have somehow deleted the information in the exectbl.ini.

Hey John, just tryed your DIMMER Control. Isn't it going backwards? I mean if you want to DIMM more (as in darker), should'nt be the plus sign dimm more and the minus sign dimm less. I think the way it is now it is a brightness control, + brighter, - darker.

I checked and the rr.ini file points to the C:\Program Files\Road Runner\BACKGROUNDS folder. There are also pictures in there. The issue still remains unresolved.
One thing to point out, I copied the execbtl.ini for the DFX 4.0 from my last install as I made some custom changes there. Is there anything in that file that could still be pointing to the old folder? I took a quick look and didn't see anything...

John, I am editing the audio playlist skin by making the playlist screen bigger and getting rid of the nine buttons on the side of it. I also got rid of the volume +, volume -, and the mute button and moved the songs in, artist, album, song, genre, year label in their place, but the icons for the volume and mute are still there. How do I get rid of them in the playlist screen, but not in the other audio screens? Thanks....

Look in the skin folder, open SKIN.ini and check for any backgroundpath settings.

If I remember correctly, those are in "botombuttons.txt". You'll probably end up adding the other buttons to your new playlist screen, and deleting the reference to "bottombuttons.txt" in your skin file.

This is what happens if i delete the "bottombuttons.txt" in the skin file. Any other ideas?

Hey I figured it out. I deleted the following lines from "bottombuttons.txt", L,628,531,71,67,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,29,"Arial Black","=+","CENTER"
L,526,516,71,67,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"Arial Black","=-","CENTER"
L,712,502,71,67,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,65,"DFXFon t1","=4","CENTER"
L,599,504,71,67,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,65,"DFXFon t1","=4","CENTER" then renamed the file to "bottombuttons2.txt" then changed the menu.skin to load "bottombuttons2.txt" and wallah. Thanks for the help...
