Thanks. Can anyone tell me though where the actual images are for the bottom buttons (the .png file)? I changed the code for the "exitmenu" (the button right next to menu) to a "searchfile" for searching through playlist but I need to change the actual image to a search image. I just don't know where the actual images are. Thanks...

nevermind, i just inserted "search" into the audio_playlist.png and deleted the code for the exitmenu, so now it says search.

Yea, I know that is a little strange, but the way it has to be the way RR sliders work. Think of it as adding less transparency This will be all new in the next release anyways, as Mitch was able to incorporate the dimming code directly into RR source, so no external program is needed to do the dimming.

The bottom buttons are not "images" they are a custom font. This way when you change the font color in the skin, the "icons" change color as well throughout the skin.

I am using RR with the build in dimming function as I don't run any external programs for it. If you click the plus sign it gets lighter and clicking the minus sign makes it darker. No big deal for me as I just change the graphics for plus and minus.

If you look at any physical sliding dimmers, they always have the getting brighter bit as the plus or going up so what's the problem?

Then how come when you use the slider and push it UP the screen gets darker? So much for your theory. Like I said, no problem for me.

If you are using the dimmer slider in the DFX skin, as it was last released, it IS using an external app to do the dimming. Look in your system tray for a small round blue circle, that has the brightness symbol on it.
Now that Mitch added to code to do this internally in RR, I have re-done the slider and skin to use the internal code, and it will be in the next release.

because it is adding "More Darkness"
Seriously, the dimmer uses an almost black layer over the top of Road Runner. When you press the slider up, you are increasing the visibility of that layer (Making the screen darker). When you move the slider down, you are decreasing the visibility of that layer, making the screen lighter.

That I understand, as it is a dimmer control. Plus means more dimming. Then the house dimmers are "Brighters", push the slider up, more light.

I recently switched to using the dimmer, but when I go to the Sirius screen, the list flickers. I think it happens because of ilist. I haven't disable ilist to verify yet. Anyone else get this. I am using DFX4 skin. I found that the dimmer seems to work better than gamma.

It's a hardware issue. I have the same problem on my CarPC but not on my home computer.

Really, that is odd. I would of never thought of that possibility. So ilist wouldn't affect it then.... Hmm I guess I can go back to gamma and tweak some more to see if i can get it darker.

the dimmer is awesome... but is there a way to make it time-sensitive so that it will only be darker at night? (kinda like gammacontrol)

I thought it was. It seems to be for me. I only get the flicker issue at night which should be mean that is when the dimmer is enabled.

are you sure you aren't running gammacontrol or any other gamma related program in RR?
im just curious because i figured the digitalfx dimmer was just an on-the-spot change and that it had no time setting.
If that's wrong... I'll be a happy man!
