Hi all I'm a Ita newbie to mp3car and RR but Ii've just tried this new skin for RR and it's terrific!

easy to set and very very nice!
only a couple of questions: is possible to change-the-program/use-another-version for the one used for the radar? cause i'm in europe and amarican's radar doesn't show the rain/snow on europe...

As far as I now there is not an integrated way to do it yet for Europe. At least not the way it is here, maybe an external app or something?

Search this thread for "europe" - not sure if it's been implemented but it have been talked about.

Can you help me get the RRmedia database setup on my carputer? I have it out of my car for the winter. I have been trying to get it to work since DXF4 came out, and all I get are errors. I have installed a fresh install of RR dated 12/01/2008, and a fresh DXF4 as well. I have tried to search and read posts to fix it, but I think I may have a couple of problems and any one adjustments are not fixing my problem. When I open RR I get an error.

AUTOIT ERROR
Line-1:
Error. the requested action with this object has failed

This splashs over the main RR screen. Then when I try to rescan, I get another error.

MAIN
No such table: Audio LiteX. lite statment. 1

Sorry I am disscribing this a little ot of order, but these errors are after I ran RMBuilder.exe outside of RR. When I did my first scan before that, I got about 3 or 4 error boxes wity comm errors.

The reason I have my carputer out of my car is to get RRmedia to work while we enjoy winter.

I know you have spent a large amount of time developing RRmedia. It is driving me nuts that I can't get RRmedia to work.

I have a last question, is there a limmit to the total number of songs that RRmedia can handle? I have just over 18,000 songs in my carputer, but I have over 46,000 songs in my home library. Am I asking RRmedia to scan too many songs?

Got this for Christmas, and I wanted to know how I could possibly embed this into RR and DFX 4.0. I did try and search first, but no matches were found. I did try to use the Earthmate GPS button on DFX 4.0, but it did not do a thing. Can someone point me in the right direction? The software does have a UMPC mode, so I figured it should be possible to get it to work with DFX 4.0. Clues?

upon further reading, I tried tried the method for Garmin GPS. I configured the GPS to be Iguidance and an external application, which seems to work, but does not embed. John, are you planning to write something to include this software in the next release? It has a UMPC mode.

Im having a problem where once in a while the skin stops refreshing. The progress bar will stop moving, all labels will stop refreshing, GPS gauges will stop moving and the playlist becomes empty. Hitting any button on the screens will make all labels and progress bar update and then freeze again. The flash clock keeps working and music keeps playing but nothing gets refreshed. When it happens RRCam doesnt show the GPS location changing either.
I have to close/exit RR and open it again to fix it. Haven't found a way of replicating the problem but I think it only happens when resuming from hibernation, but it doesn't happen every time XP resumes from hibernation.

What can be the problem?

What processor/speed is your car computer? Mine is a 1gig and bogs down if running anything with flash.

Suddenly (i have not changed anything regarding to setting) - I am unable to change songs.

If I have a mp3 file playing and I browse to another song, then tap play select or double tap the file in browser mode, I get the first tune of that track(basically the first note of the new track plays), then the player just stops - like it hangs.

It does show the tags and the album art of the newly selected track in the player window. But, if I hit play select a second time, I lose the tags and the album art - like RR got confused and forgot what file I was looking at.

Then at that point, nothing will play, no matter what I do. I have to restart RR and it will begin playing the track I attempted to play. And once again I am stuck with that mp3 only, I can't change to another one without exiting RR and restarting it.

Whats going on? It worked fine before, heck yesterday I drove 4 hrs home from a snowboarding trip and was listening to a bunch of tunes, changing songs worked fine, now all of a sudden I can't change the current playing song.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm supposed to drive up to VT Thursday to go snowboarding again, would like to get this resolved.

I rescanned the database - but it did not help my issue.

Start by going into Winamp without being in RR. Try changing songs in there. Does it work? Have you added all your media to Winamp before building the database? How about your sound card and drivers?

Never done that before, never had issues before. How do I do that, and is it necessary?

I did try to create a playlist of one of my music folders, and I started having issues after that, so I'll try to manually delete all of my playlists in windows explorer and see if that helps.

Adding media to winamps library does nothing for the RRMedia plugin, this would just allow you to browse WA's library while using the old audio browser.
