Agreed audio detection in mixed environments is a tough problem, and by tough I mean DARPA tough. We spend lots of tax dollars on that problem, because it comes up a lot in planes and voice recordings.

Sorry all for not keeping everyone updated... been working on another project.
A fellow Fiero owner has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The doctors give him till spring to be with us.
When he was diagnosed, he asked for help ( read here). In just a little over a week since he asked, people have done all we can to make this dream come true.
By the way, Tyler is a senior in High School, and just turned 18 years old.....
I am flying up on Thursday the 19th and coming back on Sunday, as well as around 20 others going to help.
If anyone is interested in reading more, there is a lot of coverage on this:

I know this probably does not belong in this thread, but It's my thread :P , and I think it is a true show of humanity at its finest!

That is a sad story, but it is good that so many people that don't even know him have offered so much to help this young man. (even though things are so rough for so many right now, economy wise) God Bless

I have searched for days trying to figure out how to set up my xbox controller to work with this skin. My problem is I don't understand how to make it work to move to select buttons on the main menu with one press of the button (to go up or down on the page).
I have got one of my joysticks to work as a mouse so yes I can move around on the screen and then press one button to select. I can get my controller to select and move up and down while in the browser menu and almost all other screens. Just not on the first two main windows.
It is to hard to move the mouse around the main menu while driving trying to see the pointer and getting it in the right place to click. So I want to press one button to go up and down on the main menu, I have used the keytbl and the hotkeys but I don't really know how to set it up to do what I want. I set the arrow keys but they don't work on the main menu, the work in the browser for scrolling thru music....

You can use the AutoHotKey script to move the mouse the exact amount of "pixels" every time you press the button.
the command for that in AHK is very easy: "MouseMove, X, Y", where X,Y are the cordinates.
try it, it will solve your problem!

Marteline,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I really don't understand that either...I do have that program already downloaded but don't understand what you mean by moving by pixels??? (haven't tried to use it yet, but I read somewhere it would be a good way move the mouse in rr)
I think I have figured out how to get it done with the joytokey (I was using "enter" instead of "CTRLEXEC") to select.
But I would love to here how everyone else does it.... maybe a better way, so if you could explain it more maybe it would be easier

Dimming and Garmin.....
I've seen some posts here on the dimming subject, but nothing related to this.
Why is it that when RR is dimmed and i start Garmin, the Garmin screen is fully undimmed.
When I switch back to RR the dimmer goes back on.
How can I get Garmin to stay dimmed like RR?

maybe you could try using gamma dimming instead of overlay dimming

Yes, the RR dimming overlay will not work on some GPS apps' as well as on top of video. It's a matter of how the overlay dim is done, and fights to stay on top with some app's and video.
You would either need to dim your GPS app, switch it to night mode, or use gamma dim.

Oops, looks like I forgot to renew the domain.... Didn't even get an email! Just renewed it, and it should be up in the next day or so when DNS re-propagates.
