Might be a dumb question this far in, but, what do I have to do to get that visual EQ bars like shown on the example images of the skin on the firts page? What plugin is it?

DougW133,
get the help file from version 2 -- most of it still applies for version 3. You may have to install 2.0 to get to it though....

No, it comes with the 3.0 download. It's DigitalFX Help.chm in the Helper Files folder in the Digital FX 3.0 folder.

Good idea. Let's take it a step further. My opinion is that the we should save as much real estate for the multimedia info. The guts of the CarPC should go humming along and if something is wrong, we should be proactively alerted by the system. So, wipe the skins of the temp numbers and alert us with a pop-up screen if the temp goes over "XXX" degrees. The temp could be user configurable to suit everyone.
My 2 cents.

ATTENTION ANYONE USING AVG ANTI VIRUS
A recent update that AVG installs, will false trigger on many AutoIt scripts. This will delete the files or quarantine them. This will prevent quite a few things from working in the skin. Movie Times, the album art viewer, Theme changer are just a few. I just un-installed AVG, installed Avast Anti Virus (also free) and scanned the skin folder, after restoring the scripts. Nothing was found as being a virus. If this has happened to you, you will have to reinstall the skin again to get all of the scripts back.

Hibernation part 2
Ok, a few pages back I mentioned a problem with hibernation based on elapsed time on laptop battery.
I have narrowed it down. There is a variable autoupdateinterval (I believe that's it off the top of my head) that is used by at least weather and zip code locator. I set that to 0 which I believe disables it. Hibernation resumed working.
It's not the USB GPS as RR is still accessing the coordinates.
I really don't believe it is weather as I don't use that since I don't have internet in the truck.
So my question for John or anyone else real familiar with DFX "under the covers" - do you use that variable for anything else? If no, then it doesn't appear that the problem is DFX directly and I'll move the discussion to a thread on the zip plugin. If you do use it for something else - if you tell me what else I will systematically eliminate each one.

Maybe one should disable all anti virus/anti spam programs. My McAfee also caused problems with 2 different files...forget which ones...in this thread here somewhere.
