Havent checked the implementation but Im pretty sure GPS weather means it will pull weather based on your coordinates. Most likely somewhere the coordinates are translated to a zip code and then the weather is queried based on zip code. You will still need an internet connection to get the weather.
All GPS provide is coordinates and time synchronization (im not sure how that time part works), but not weather info

John,
I see you are doing a lot with this at the moment. I know, and have used AutoIt a lot(and few other languages) let me help!
I can go through and try to optimize code, add features, debug, or whatever.

Perhaps.. new comers need to play with something less sophiscated... dfx has become a monster.. So many new features incorporated in very dynamic ways... If this is too intimidating, then it would be a good idea to mess with something lighter... and get down the basics... files, types, purposes.. etc... It will save you some headache.... Sometimes reading the info is not enuf especially when you deal with this type of monster... you have to play with files urself, make changes to skins and trial and error.. Just my opinion...

your right, I haven't looked at the weather page to much since I don't use it...I thought it would automatically go to your current location. sorry if I confused some people.

I searched for the problem but could not find anything simillar. I think it is skin related so I am posting here but if that is not so, please let me know.
I am running RR with DigitalFX 3.0, and iGuidance 3.0. Everything runs beautiful except for the "guages". So I downloaded Xport and splitted com port 7, where my GPS was connected to, to com ports 8 and 9. iGuidance is now configured to port 8, and RR is configured to port 9. The problem I am having is that everything runs well until I open the Guages skin. The guages work for about 20 or 30 seconds and then RR hangs and I have to close and restart it. I tried many different combinations of the com ports and all seem to yield the same results. If I don't go to the guages skin, RR seems to not hang. I don't realy know what may be causing this, RR, Skin, or Xport? BTW, the PC does not freeze. Only RR hangs.

Sounds like it could be a flash related problem, are you running the latest flash? If not use IE (not firefox) go to http://www.adobe.com and install the latest flash version.
EDIT: I am assuming you are not running flash clocks or anything.. but if that stuff works then i dunno

I am running a clock on the main screen and it works fine (until everything hangs of course, or ran fine before I decided to get my guages working) so I doubt it is flash related but just to rule it out, I wil remove the clock and try to see if it works that way.

I totally understand where you are coming from. That, honestly, is why I decided to do the help manual with the skin.
In the first part of your question, you asked why iGuidance was not embedding, and why it disappeared when you press a button.
In the help file it states in the GPS-iGuidance section:
"You need to set it correctly in RRConfig to allow it to launch and embed correctly. Below is what your settings should look when iGuidance is configured correctly:"
and below that there is a screen capture of the config utility showing the exact settings, and what goes in what box.
I honestly just do not know how to make it much easier than that I did my best to write that help manual, for the new user / non programmer.
