The netcheck is removed from the next release, and probably the reason you are getting that is from the backend scripts that make DFX work the way it does. But I pretty sure that you shouldn't be getting that every few seconds... you would need to list some more details as that is all that I can tell you from what you've posted. Like, do you see any say exec.exe process popping in and out of your process list?

Okay I know I am missing something. I have searched not only in this thread but in the forums as a whole. My problem is that I cant get the zip code with gps to populate the gas prices or the city, town, county, zips info. I have zips.dat in the road runner folder, and even replaced it with a different one as it was 0 kb under properties. It tried putting the states.dat from the zip code folder into the root folder and that didn't work. I read in the 2.0 forum that there should be a larger version of road runner.exe with the dfx install but can't seem to find it, and my road runner.exe is only 650kb not the 2gb special version mentioned.
Please help. I have worked through most other issues that affect me at the moment, but this one is a stumper for me.
P.S. I have xport running. I have satellite info in iguidance and on the gauges screen.

Things to check; Do the zip code locations work in the gps screen and the gauges screen? Do you have a working internet connection?
Edit: There is also a setting that needs to be set in the RRconfig file.

See if localdatacaptureinterval=1 is in rr.ini or use the "locate" command. I know in 2.0 there was a hidden button with that command in the gauges screen; don't know if 3.0 has it.

Drewbp:
I was having the same issues. I am not absolutely sure what the entire issue is, BUT, I changed to my next town ZipCode manually that ias bigger than my 3 stoplight town.. LOL.. (Laughing at the size of my town decription.. really is 3 lights big!) We have approx. 5 Gas Stations here. They will NOT show up if I just choose my zipcode. I was having this same issue, and even posted in previous 100+ pages ago.
No fix for it, that i could tell. I can get it through my Data/Cell and WiFi connections just fine for any other town but NOT my own, which the ZIP.DAT files does have my town zip in it and I can see it on the msn-auto website, etc...
I know this is not a "FIX" answer, but try: goggle a town with this: name of town/city, state zipcode (Physically type in "ZIPCODE" word to look up zipcodes. Copy/Past a zipcode and try to see if GasFinder updates.
(ie. Marshall, Texas zipcode )
This should help see if the plugin is workign or not, etc...

None of the city state county zips fill in on any screen from gps. Gas price plug in works fine when I manally put in a zip code, but once again not from gps. I know that I have gps data feeding the gauges screen and iGuidance through xport, and I have an internet connection, and I have set localdatacaptureinterval=1.

I had the same thing happen if you click rapidly below the clock. What I discovered is that the "exit menu" is somehow being called and the exit selection can be accidentally selected. This event can happen so fast that you won't even see an exit screen if you click twice rapidly.
I've scanned over the menu.skin and cannot find any mistakes. I even downloaded skineditor to comb through it but no mistake can be found.
EDIT Quick fix: By replacing the spinninglogo.swf with another flash file such as _Clock_Round_Transparent_Orange.swf the problem goes away completely.

why don't you run manager on button click and close it on exit instead of having it run all the time from startup...
I've seen that problem too, little annoying... So, that's how I deal with mouse flickering...
By the way, in task manger, is there a way to show cpu percentage as well... i need to identify which process is sucking up all my CPU... With current view, i know cpu says 100% but can't tell which one is stealing all my cpu...

While looking at the Processes tab in Task Manager, toggle the column label for CPU. It will sort by highest utilization first.

Well I just tried those commands in my iDrive skin, and they do exactly what they say on the tin.
if you have edited the skin make sure you have done the right .skin file, done it in the right place and got the format and wording correct.
if all that is OK, check the exectbl.ini to see if NEXTTRACK has been changed in there to do something else.
*edit just check DFX on my PC, and in the Exectbl.ini there is the following line
"NEXTTRACK","NEXT||ChangeStarIndicator"
so yes john has changed NEXTTRACK for something to do with ratings I guess. So you can either delete that line in which case whatever john changed it for will not work in another screen.
*edit2 maybe just change it to
"NEXTTRACK","NEXTTRACK||ChangeStarIndicator"

This is a feature John has added. The project itself is in Beta. Its basically this simple. Type in a song name, click on download. It will download the song to a Downloaded Songs folder that can be found on the Browser within the skin. I would only try to get *popular* songs.
