You can only have one application per screen/skin unless you use a third party app like skinbedder.

At last, I just finish reading 57 pages of posts. Few.
John, you surely do a great job and you surely give us a lot of changes with your skins. Thanks.
I worked with DFX2 from the first time you published it. I did many tweeks and I am absolutely satisfied. With DFX3 I have some problems but after all this reading I noticed some possible solutions and I will try them in time. I have a recommendation if you allow me.
When I saw the lyrics option in DFX3, I fixed almost all of my song's tags and now I am happy to see it working. But I think I will be great if you fix the program that displays the lyrics to delete the empty lines. So most of the words will be in one screen and there will be no need to scroll down. Another option that could be very usefull is the "karaoke" display. I mean that the text could scroll down depending on the time or something. I found a very interesting small program, minilyrics is the name, and i think you should check it to see how this "karaoke" works.
Thanks again.

Ask and you shall receive I just edited the script to remove blank lines from the lyrics display.
As for the karaoke, there is no real way to do this keeping the look of the skin. It would involve having to embed mini lyrics, which is also not a free program. Personally I would be scared to death to know someone else on the road with me was trying to sing karaoke while driving

I dont know if taking out the blank lines is something you want...
sorry, but that messes with the way the lyrics were written. Maybe its called iambic pentameter but i'm not positive. I say if we can get iLists to work on the lyrics screen and be able to remove the line with the cursor that seems to cover up a line when your scrolling, then problem solved.
i had my g.f in the car with me the other day and she said something about having the lyrics scroll with the music. i then tried to explain to her how much time and effort it would take to make that work...especially with people that have over 25,000 songs.

That's right John. I would feel the same. But I didn't write it because I want to sing karaoke in my car while driving ( I could do it when I am stopped). I just say that this nice option that scroll down the text when the song is playing is a very usefull and safest way if you want to see the words of the song while driving. Even for your co-driver.
By the way i have to repeat something that many others wrote (I am sorry for that). I always had problems with flash clocks in the skins not the gauges. But I didn't need them so much and I removed them. So DFX2 is working fine without flashes and the gpspeed enabled. Gauges and speed in menu and menu2 work fine. CPU load normally is 5-15%.
With DFX3 the RR hangs up when I give any gps port in the RRconfig. No matter if the flash clock in menu is enabled or disabled. With the clock enabled and gps port = 0 everything is fine an cpu load is 30%. When gps port is from 4-11 the problem exists. The music is playing but everything is freezed. I don't use xport or other splitter this time just to find the problem. There is no ziplocator.dll in my folders.
If I change to DFX2 everything works fine with xport or not.
I have downloaded adobe flash player and flash activex using iexplorer. But I think the problem isn't the flash.
I am already feeling bad because I am waiting an answer like "we solved that problem, look there...", but I tried all the possibilities I thought.
If you dont answer I will understand. Thanks.

Turn on debugging in rr, if its already on then close rr, delete debug.txt and restart rr. When rr becomes frozen, kill task it and post the "ATTACHED" debug.txt to see if we can narrow what the problem could be..

HD Radio issues and i-lists
Awhile back, I decided to no longer be that "1 in 10" people who cannot get i-lists to work. I went through the FAQ and checked the DirectX install and presto it began to work. Tried the HD Radio and it now worked also.
I am not sure if my HD Radio not working was a direct effect of i-lists not working, or in fixing i-lists I inadvertently fixed my HD Radio. Either way, give it a shot, in the very least you get i-lists, which is something I cannot believe I have been living without.
Cheers

If you really really wanna keep ur g.f happy, you can use minilyrics... Like John said, it ain't free, but somehow, i was able to download it from their site with no charge and have been using it ever since.. Let the songs run all night(scan them), it will download lyrics automatically and embed it into mp3 files. minilyric embed into rr nicely.. and does that scrolling both vertically and horizontally for karaoke functionality. You can also put background, transparents.. etc.. all kinda stuff... Perhaps ur g.f picture... There, with that, you will be blessed by ur girl ^^

Hi, I dit the debugging. The first time, the flash clock is enabled the runs with cpu load 60-70% but never hangs. I enable gps in port 7 and I run RR. It hangs after some seconds and music is still playing. The debug1.txt is the result.
I see the last lines has to do something with motionlock. I found that motionlock is a plugin and I removed it from plugins.txt. Then I ran again RR and it hanged again in some seconds with a different error. See debug2.txt.
I hope I did right the steps. If you have any suggestion I would be happy to hear. But I think it is not a flash problem. Right?

Hmmm Not sure what that command in the last line of the debug file is coming from:
17/4/2008 10:00:47 đ́: Sim.WMSGs: 1
Are you using PowerStrip by chance for multiple monitor support? I ask this as searching for that last command above in Google, I found THIS thread. Not sure if it will be of much help, but its worth a look.
The "Sim.WMSGs" command looks like it could be coming from another plugin, not sure. Try disabling all plugins, and see if RR works ok. If so re-enable one at a time and see if you can find what is causing it.

she could care less for the carputer...she thinks it will make me get in a wreck on day...so screw her, MUAHA!
So lets go on with this topic. I have lyrics embedded into most of the mp3s already. Will this program just go ahead and over write them? Do they add anything else to the mp3 tags? I'm curious because of space. Adding the lyrics into the tag was incredibly small. but if you add mp3 art into each tag it gets to be incredibly big. so what sort of size difference do you see between the same mp3 that has not been touched by the program vs. one that has? And to make sure everyone is on the same page. You have embedded this as a separate app into DFX. This is not a function of John's Lyrics button.
EDIT:
Just tried minilyrics. technically, its free, but a pop up box comes up on every winamp start. The program works not so well IMO. I did a search of about 10 songs and it only found lyrics for 1. So it looks like only popular songs are going to work for this. The functionality is cool, but the possibility of having this program play continuously for over 25,000 songs will take days/weeks.
I know it's not my choice, but I would still rather go with John's Lyrics button with iList functionality and not removing the lines. When you think about it, is removing 4 or 5 blank lines on one screen going to mean anything when you still have to scroll till you end the song?

Well.. I created an extra screen for dfx skin i am using.. For my use, i don't embed it into mp3, rather i save it as separate file.. They are 1 or 2 kb text, so, spacing is not a issue here... i don't have as many songs as you do.. but it found most of them in either txt or lrc format... If a song's title or artist names are not right, chances are very slim finding one, but if they are correct, it will find 7 to 8 out of 10 based on my experience... I'll post a screen shot later how it looks on mine....
here it is...
I don't personally do karaoke that often and i don't have the pimp's system i don't know about westerners.. but i know asian dig it.. it's like a way of living for them... If you have one of those bad *** system in your car, just get a wireless microphone, there, you have a compact powerful moving karaoke room... Just make sure no one sees you... They might think, but if they know exactly what's taking place in your car, then Try it man and let us know, it could be funner than you think..
oh.. also, it won't over write unless you take an action.
