Cameron, I wish you the best of luck Getting a phone to work with the PC is something I gave up on long ago.. I just use a parrot bluetooth device (google it) hard wired into the the sound system in my car. I would think that you would have better luck posting this in the FreePhone thread, as it really is not a skin issue.

I am trying to get freefone to work with my motorola q. I am on Verizon. I have a bluetooth dongle that goes through Widcomm's audio gateway. Is there a way to change the comport on freefone? Also what other things do I have to do to get it to work?
Thanks,
Cameron
Cam...
I just recently tried to do this same thing with my XV6800 pocket pc. no love. as of yet, there are no software solutions to truely run your computer via your phone. I tried the "remote control" program and it wouldnt even install on a friends phone which they said it would work.
good luck man...i gave up just as John did.

I was looking at the text file for freefone and can't find the comport like the standalone version. Is that something I can change in digitalfx?

Edited the exectbl.ini with the following lines (section listed above the line):

"MyApp48","Load;Garmin_WIDE.skin;Garmin;C:\GarminM obilePC\Que.exe;Garmin"

/ These are the labels for the application that will show
/ up on the screen that gives the selection of buttons to choose from
"SetCommandLabels48","SETVAR;MyApp48LB;Garmin||Set CommandLabels49"
however being the total noob to skin editing whenever I run RR and make a button for Garmin and then push said button, it loads the skin editor...
clues? Garmin seems to embed fine...I've just run into a road block with this skin editing issue.
:EDIT: Nevermind...I got it
I'll post a screenshot in a few
Excellent work! Would you mind posting the .skin file and a more polished how-to; John will pay you!

I have also made a larger gps screen. I use with it with iGuidance.
I started with the StreetsTrips skin file that has the regular playback audio buttons at the bottom.
I also edited the png file to remove the top row of buttons as I find the menu buttons inside iGuidance more than adequate, and the added screen space for the program is what I am after.
I also edited the exectbl.ini the same way as in the above post, to add a button for the program.
Hope this helps along the way.
PS. Actually I use this as my replacement for the regular Iguidance wide skin, but have also used it for several of my own embedded programs, where I create my own button to add into the menu system of DFX3

sure thing
I'm leaving for Houston tomorrow morning but will try to post it up tonight.
btw, used it while out today and I could bounce back and forth between iG and Garmin without a hitch. I like the way the maps look on iG better, but the directions/routes that Garmin picks seem to make more sense. iG would zig-zag me through entire neighborhoods to get from point a to b...Garmin tends to stick to the more major traveled roads which I think is better when someplace you've never been.
:EDIT: Here's the zip file with the skin files and a readme.txt. Hopefully that's simple enough for any ol' noob skinner to figure out...'cause I did

Yea, that does look really nice! I would at least love to have a copy of that background to include with the skin, if you do not mind of course
