possible suggestion
Hey JohnWPB,
DFX is simply fantastic!
One possibility (and hopefully this is the right place to suggest an idea):
In the XM window I can save the current artist/song to a textfile with a button. It would be mighty cool if the Jukebox could use that list to fetch? Sometimes I'm not "online" when driving, so the ability to fetch later in Jukebox might also be desireable?
Is that even possible?
thx for all the great work!

Ok, that glassy look above by nitra is in the works That is exactly what I wanted the skin to look like when I started 3.0. Hopefully all works out, and that will be an alternative to the way the skin looks currently.
As far as tagging songs, and saving them in the jukebox, that is an idea for sure, but at the same time not one I was wanting to peruse. The jukebox was actually something I did for myself, and really did no mean to release to the masses. If someone wants to take over that area, and release something to go along with the skin, that is fine, but not something I personally am going to work on.
As yet another note Thanks to all that contributed to the "beer fund" with the donations to PayPal, I put it to good use last night

I can't download the file.
"[path]\DigitalFX3 could not be saved because the source file could not be read."

I checked the FTP server, and the file is still in place, and I just tested the Download here with Fire Fox, and it is working ok.

Also nst6563 DL'd your Garmin wide.zip in the readme you said add these lines in the Exectbl.ini file would that be in the same area as the ig parts? If so before...after? Got the software just to dang hot outside to install.

test
The Forum screwed up and put posts in front of the first post in this thread. I had to move some things around, and lost the post by Pseudo Nim, so it follows here:
Pseudo Nim Wrote: I found two strange bugs with the skin (or RR? Forgive me if these are RR bugs). Anybody know if there are fixes or if there is something I should do?
1. When I click "Browser", I cannot scroll through directories, I have to first _tap_ the directory window, and only AFTER that it becomes possible to use the scroll arrows (seems to be a focus issue of some sort).
2. At times, DFX just stops responding to mouse clicks. It's as if the whole interface just locked. Absolutely nothing can fix it - the computer needs a reboot (or, if you have a keyboard connected, Windows Key + U + R + Enter (shutdown/restart).
1. Hmmm I have not seen that happen here, not sure what could cause that, but it does sound like a focus issue. The strange part is the button codes "talk" to the list, so are supposed to "bring it into focus"
2. Can you hit Ctrl Alt Del and see what the CPU is doing, and what is causing it?

My question is when is the next update coming. I know your update is based on Blue's media browser release date, but from reading there are some other cool features that are incorporated in the rest of your release.
Thanks.

I updated the skin slightly, added the current song in the format Artist - Title to the right side of the lower screen in the un-used space.
@ insaneramman - The lines go into the sections of the ini that they are in the readme. Not sure how else to explain it...
/----------------- Dynamic Menu Buttons -----------------------
/ RR Command to execute when button is pressed
is a section as is
/----------------This is the label that is displayed on the Main Menu Buttons ----------------
just like
/ These are the labels for the application that will show
/ up on the screen that gives the selection of buttons to choose from
in your ini, look for those sections, and the code will go in there, at the bottom of the section usually. In the SetApplabels line, you'll basically need to add <<=Garmin at the end.

Thanks
Nst6563 I think I understand . Just put the lines of code in under the headers are listed-
/----------------- Dynamic Menu Buttons -----------------------
/ RR Command to execute when button is pressed
"MyApp48","Load;Garmin_WIDE.skin;Garmin;C:\GarminM obilePC\Que.exe;Garmin||ACTIVATE;Garmin Mobile PC||SENDKEY;{ESC}"
These lines would go under the Dynamic Menu Buttons part of the ini. file right?
Also I can't get the config to run in DFX or out it's me right? Just locks up (cpu 100%) and freezes. Anywho got all but garmin installed and all is working.

only the line without the / would go at the bottom of the Dynamic Menu Buttons. I included the header so people could tell what section to add the lines.
as for your config, I never run mine inside RR. Always drop to desktop, run, then save and restart RR.

Thanks
Nst6563 I've tried in and out of the skin still no luck . I'm gonna reinstall RR today. I'm sure it's something I done. The tweak gene at it again( the part of SOME people that can't leave well enough alone). Still love RR and DFX. Oh, and thanks for the help with garmin after reinstall and a check to make sure all is still working, it's going in.
