I've searched and can't seem to nail this down. Does the "save title" button in the HD radio work, mine does not.

New thingy!
This is based off of John's gps speed based volume control skin, but tweaked a bit. You now have 6 presets. Just press the button, and it will adjust all the settings and take you back to whence you came. Press and hold a button to have a slightly modified version of John's skin come up and allow you to tweak the preset settings =] I know that some settings, like max volume at speed of 160 may seem pretty crazy, but it helps with the adjusting how fast your computer reaches max volume. Like for windows down quiet, i want it to not get very loud very fast, obviously, so i set it to reach max volume at 160, and the starting volume when stopped is the lowest setting. You can see how this would very slowly reach the max volume, which is set to like 60% or something for this example.
To install just unzip all the files in to your DFX skin folder with all the other skin files and images, and create a button to GPS_Speed_Preset.skin
If you want to avoid having to go through and configure each of the presets, just add the following to your skin.ini file in your digital fx 3.0 skin folder. These are my settings that I've been using for about a month now.
Code:
p1speedatt=True
p1speedattunit=MPH
p1speedattmute=True
p1speedattvola=20
p1speedattvolb=100
p1speedattspeedb=60
p2speedattvola=20
p2speedatt=True
p2speedattunit=MPH
p2speedattmute=True
p2speedattvolb=80
p2speedattspeedb=140
p3speedatt=True
p3speedattunit=MPH
p3speedattmute=True
p3speedattvola=10
p3speedattvolb=80
p3speedattspeedb=140
p5speedattvola=5
p5speedatt=True
p5speedattmute=True
p5speedattvolb=50
p5speedattspeedb=140
p4speedatt=True
p4speedattunit=MPH
p4speedattmute=True
p4speedattvola=10
p4speedattvolb=60
p4speedattspeedb=160
p6speedattvola=5
p6speedattvolb=30
p6speedattspeedb=160
p6speedatt=True
p6speedattunit=MPH
p6speedattmute=True
p5speedattunit=MPH
Thats it! Enjoy guys =]

I have used DigitalFX since I built my CarPC, and have used v3.0 since it came out.
Thanks for putting so much work into this great skin.

Thanks for the volume control thingy, inh. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like a very handy tool to have!

Search this thread for "background" - the second hit is your answer.
Don't know about netcheck..

Go in your dfx folder and open up the exectbl.ini file and comment out this line(third or forth line). When done, should look like line below.
Code:
/ "NetCheck","RUNQ;$SkinPath$Scripts\netcheck.exe|$PingIP$"

[media]http://twinning.service.traffic.maptuit.com/nc/blank.gif[/media]
I want to swap out the traffic cam with this here, I want to use explorer so firefox can stay my default browser. What would I need to change for it to run in place of the cams?
Well map not showing on here, it is an interactive map of up to date traffic, construction, accidents and all the webcams in Duval county that are maintained by FDOT.

RRSkineditor, Possibly.
Otherwise, looks around to see if BlueZX3 is about, Notepad.

Actually I have found a new editor that is slightly better than Notepad for dealing with code.
Crimson Editor.

I see these lines in the menu.skin:
L,0,0,0,0,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,0,"Arial","GPSSP D","CENTER"
L,1,0,1,1,0,0,0,12,"Arial","GPSHDG",
L,1,1,1,1,0,0,0,8,"Arial","GPSCompass",
But the boxes for display are so small that they are just dots in the top left corner of the screen. I am curios about them. Are they place holders for future use? Are they needed for someother part of the skin to function properly? Etc. Etc.
Thanks.
PS: I guess this is a JohnWPB question since he is the skin author.

you'll find that they are info labels, its so the flash compass (GPSSPD,GPSCompass) in the menu skin reads the info from rr via these labels,and the GPSHDG was or maybe still is for an indicator to show you have GPS connection.
