The backgrounds are changeable, so I was thinking something to contrast the white line that the slider is on. I'm leaning towards black, but I might have an option to change it based on the text color.

I don't use the volume through RR, so it really doesn't matter to me. I'll probably have a hidden label that comes up when it's changed, and goes away after a few seconds... I'll have to work with the labels.

The info in the bottom bar is the same on EVERY screen, so having it different on the main screen isn't ideal. The redundant info is unnecessary, and I'll change it soon to less important info like what I have in mAv1c. I like this slider (at least over any of the others I've used) so it will probably make it into v3.

If I have a changeable slider, it will probably correspond with the presets in the text color screen (green text = green slider, white text = black slider) but not with the custom colors (16+ million slider images would be ridiculous.) But you can choose the color closest to your custom color, or one at random.

I agree with having a progressive slider under the time is wierd, so for the volume, I think I'm going to just do a time switched label.

I've been testing it with this method:

The label that shows time changes to the volume percentage when you press either button, and then when the next timer interval rolls around (currently every 5 seconds) it changes back to the time automatically.

I like this method, because the volume percentage is really only needed when you change it.

For the songpos, I'll be making 7 different sliders, when you press any of the 8 text color presets, the corresponding slider image will show. If you choose to use a custom color, the last preset color you select will be displayed.

On a side note, if you choose black text, it will automatically change the background to RGBFFFFFF (white)

And again, if you don't have powermon, you won't even see the slider or the label.

Among other things, but yes! Any updates the 480 version gets will be applied to the 600 version but usually a few days delayed.

Things fixed in the 600 version:

- Album art displayed at correct ratio

- Font in the right location

- Skins and Backgrounds displayed at correct ratio

- GPS Overlay will display correctly

- uh... maybe some other things.

In both versions, I just thought of a cool way to do the background chooser screen, so there may be a screen shot later of how that works, if I get it working.

I might also have a trick for the song pos slider colors, but I'll probably just keep it as 8 different color choices.

A little more work for the 480 version to go!

Here's what I'm working on for the backgrounds. Basically, it's an overlay with the background full screen. Why not see exactly what the background will look like before you actually save it?

It's a little slower since it's using elcamino's overlay, but it works.

I also decided text shadows will make their way into the skin. This excludes any directory or playlist or any scrolling text, but it makes it easier to read with certain backgrounds, and gives the skin a little more depth.

I was trying to get something that allowed the shadows to be turned off and on, but it didn't really work...

Also, I might look at getting GMPC integrated into this soon. I'm going to try out the trial version and see if I like it.

I've got an idea for the OSK, but we'll have to see how that goes too.

Yup, I've got it so that pressing the gps button loads IG, press and hold loads GMPC. I'm going to make a different screen that will dynamically change the option like mAv1c's digital radio button, so that if you only use one or the other, than you can just press the button instead.

I'm hoping to get everything finished up by tonight, since I added the garmin screens, and the new font file, there's a few little things to complete.
