Looking very nice MR!!! I've always liked hAv1c+, what could be better than a new version!
Well thought out changes, and stellar work on the garmin app, the overlay just needs vol control now

Dang, I was all ready to release the skin files for the Garmin Overlay to the public, but I forgot that not everyone uses an external volume control... Well, now I have to find a good spot for them, but there's not really a whole lot of room... I don't even have a good copy of GMPC, so that makes it hard to find out what areas aren't used to be able to put vol controls on it...
hmmmm....

Ok, maybe they (vol controls) will fit on the lower right corner sans mute:
Plus I also made the buttons look more like they belong (and hid the hotkeys for no good reason):
That will probably work. Now I have to redo the GMPC OSK release until I have more time after work maybe.

The garmin overlay has been released, and that means very soon hAv1c+ V3 will follow. I know I've been saying that, but I want to make sure it's nice and cleaned up before it's uploaded.

one more teaser: (and another excuse for why the release has been delayed)
I really don't use this part of the skin, but for those that do, I wanted to make it look more like a sound board mixer. This also reduces the skin file by two images.
Each slider is more finger friendly than before, so the arrow buttons on the side may end up becoming obsolete (they don't work that well anyways.)

Are you still planing to release a 800X600 version? or should we just help ourselvels (since you was gratious enough to release the PSD's)?
Reason being, the overlays are not lining up correctly when the skin is stretched.

I am still planning an official 800x600 release, but since the psd's are out there, if someone wants to take the time to stretch and move everything, go right ahead. The 800x600 official release will hopefully not be too far away.
With ElCamino's overlay, it doesn't stretch along with the rest of RR, and that's why there are two versions of the GMPC overlay.
Thoughts on V3?

Feedback to come..

I might try and get the 800x600 version out today, but that may be stretching it (no pun intended.)

I think that's what I was going to do, a lot of the comments about GMPC make me think it is just not that well designed for CarPC's. Even with the stuff we've done to make it better, it's just not quite there yet.
I like the way IG3 works, and comparing the two of them, the only thing GMPC has over IG is "a better routing system" which is still a little debatable.

I ended up doing basically nothing today. It was one of my days off, and I wanted to take advantage of it, and do nothing. 800x600 delayed another day.
Skin's been available for a couple days, and so far, no issues? (Other than resolution?)

Well I'm Impressed!!
This skin builds off of the 2nd release and it delivers! I really like the 2 tier GPS overlay, top notch stuff there. The rest of the skin is fast and well thought out. I was able to get everything working and stable. Test it out guys you really don't know what your missing!
I did find a bug that I posted in the picture the background button on this menu does not work correctly. If you use this button it goes into a half working menu that ESC is the only way out. The background menu works GREAT however if you use the button from the main menu. Just a heads up. Also elcos menu has that memory leak problem, (at least i think its a problem) where it just keeps using more and more RAM. Not sure if this will effect the PC negatively though.
Overall, many good changes to an already stout and functional skin.
Oh yeah WHERES THE HD??

Simple fix for the background button:
open textcolor.skin find this line:
Code:
B207,679,380,121,63,"PICS||TOGGLEFLASHON",
and replace (CTRL-H) it with this:
Code:
B207,679,380,121,63,"PICS||BACK_OVERLAY",
It referenced the old way where I had a flash overlay of the skin over a smaller preview of the background.
The memory leak thing has been reported and hopefully a resolution is coming soon.
Digital Radio is coming. I wanted to work on the things I use first, and then as updates come, other features will be added. I plan on just copying what I did in mAv1c into this (unless there's a good reason not to.) It's probably a good bet that when the 800x600 version is released, it will be added to both.
