Dangit, I forgot the NUMOSK empty image, I'll put it in the 3.1 update (i can release a standalone patch if needed), but I am also finishing the RRGAS screen, and working on the RRPETROL plugin, as well as integrating XM/HD/Sirius maybe...

With the GIRsplit app, I split all the PNG's out of GMPC to make the overlay look more OEM:
This will be in the 3.1 release, and in it's own download too.
I may end up hacking the GMPC app to look more like my skin though, I want to play around with that a little more though.

There's a weird sizing issue with the gas zip code thing. I'm running it in 800x600. any suggestions on what needs to be changed to get it sized right? Also it's the only menu that covers the bottom.

I was trying something in that update with the empty image. it didn't work the way I wanted and I missed it in the update.
For now, open up the numosk.skin file and replace the header with this:
Code:
numosk off.png,numosk off.png,numosk off.png,numosk down.png
Also, it doesn't look like you've installed the included bgothm.tff font.

Thanks, that did the trick. I'm on my home PC right now and I never bothered to install the fonts.

If you are getting those characters then you have NOT installed all the fonts correctly.

What he said..or..you dont have the correct "carpc.ttf" font installed - there are two variations. Look in the MAV1C skin tread.

The correct version should have been included with the recent version. It is in the skin folder. Just copy it into your c:\Windows\Fonts folder and it should install it. You'll also need to install the bgothm font, so that the text looks like the screen shots in the first post. If you don't have the fonts, they can be downloaded seperately here:
JC Auto Design's CarPC.ttf
Bank Gothic Medium - bgothm.ttf

I would recommend using the Control Panel --> Fonts --> Install fonts rather than just copy and pasting them into the folder.

Ok, both of my fonts seem to be working, the other font needed is webdings available here:
Webdings
I thought that was a standard windows font, or apparently included in Internet Explorer.
That should fix the problem.

Thanks for helping me.
Youre right! I accidentaly deleted this fonts during installation of webdings 3.
But still have no success. I reinstalled all fonts many times, reinstalled the hAv1c+ v3.02 skin but still have the same characters as my last post. Tryied to edit the mainmenu.skin to match same fonts names, but nothing seems to change!
EDIT: Aha!! under the gps menu I got this!?!?!?
EDIT1: But, it seems to be an image png file :-(

For the fonts, what OS are you running?
There are only three fonts used in this skin:
bgothm.ttf
CarPC.ttf (by JC Auto Design)
webdings.ttf
Mainmenu.skin is just for the main menu pop up when you click the menu button in the top left corner. Each and EVERY skin file would need to be updated if you wanted to do it that way. I'd recommend opening the skin in skineditor and double click on the label L102 (on the left column in skineditor) and next to the font name, press the ellipsis (the ... symbol) to open the font dialog, and select Webdings (not Webdings 2 or 3) and then click OK. If webdings isn't in the list, you will need to try to re-install it. If it is in the list, then everything should work as is...
The gps screen is a .png since the Overlay Plugin doesn't like to play well with labels.
It's designed to work with iGuidance, but other GPS programs can be used (Garmin Mobile PC, for one) with little or no editing.
Hope this helps.
