I dont use a transflective screen and actually have no problem using this. If you cant see your screen in the day very well, try cleaning it. After they get smudged up with finger prints it makes them hard for anyone to see.

I agree with Thunderstick, A lot of the skins out there are visible enough for day or night. And having a white background with black text is just really wierd to me. I have a setting in hAv1c+V3 for it, but when I've used it, it seemed less visible than the opposite.

The other option is someone can girsplit the images out of GMPC and have two que.exe's, one for day, one for night. And then (once released) take all of Thunderstick's images, invert and build the second skin.

Yeah, I understand that you want to make it look as cohesive and as garmin as possible. I just feel that with lighter background which doesn't have to be white that visibility will be better. Garmin itself uses a light greyish white background with black bordered buttons and black text.

Monkeyracer's solutions sounds like a great idea too. However, I am sure that if thunderstick says that its quite visible and he doesn't even have a transflective screen than it will be just fine, and all my worries is probably for nothing. Thats great to hear that HD skin is in the works. Keep up the great work, thunderstick.

Me2... Using DFX3 right now (call me crazy...I like it better than 4) and while it's ok...I really like the look of this skin as it matches the rest of Garmin.

One thing I noticed is that in one screen you have the crappy iGuidance style OSK...and in another you have a QWERTY layout. Would it be possible to utilize a layout such as the one in this thread? It's a Garmin style QWERTY.

Released. This is the first release. I have been using it for a few months so it should be pretty solid.
Read the readme before running.
Good luck
