Having started a new thread on standardization, I yield to the representative from Georgia. All my backgrounds will be moved tonight to C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Backgrounds\.
Done.

I just updated this skin to be compliant with these rules also. I think this will be good for everyone.

I like the transparent related changes you made in this new version. I even spent the 5 seconds it takes to get garmin mobile up and running.

If you need any help with the commands or structure in the way they work, just let me know.

PS don't forget to add RRPetrol for us UK users.

Ok, so total newb question here.

I am setting up my installation now. I'm in my house so its having issues with aquiring the satellites for Garmin, but If I install this skin (and set the path in RR config to use this skin) - I will have the much coveted Garmin OSK?

I think the directions are a little confusing in the readme file, but I am less than 24 hrs old at RR so maybe its just me.

I just installed RR from the new installer here --> http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/road...installer.html- a brand new fresh install on my new system.

Then I downloaded this Carwings Transparent release (I have no idea where to put it, so I read the Readme that came with it)

In the Readme I see this:

Quote:
1.
Copy RR folder from download to your RR directory "C:\Program Files\Road Runner" Answer yes to dialog box for file overwriting.

So after I follow the instructions and copy the RR folder that I extracted to C:\Program Files\Road Runner - I have the following:

C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Road Runner\Skins\Carwings_Transparent

But step 6 in the Readme says I should have the following:

Quote:
6.
Go to "C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\Carwings_Transparent\coverflow" and run "Register.bat" then run "builder-artist.exe"

Here Is a pic to make it clearer.

Did I put them in the wrong place?? Isnt there a default skin directory in RR where all of the skins belong and you select which one you want? It looks like I now have 2 locations, and I know this must be wrong.

I have a feeling I should have just copied the Contents of the folder, and not the folder itself to C:\Program Files\Road Runner, but I wanted to be sure I followed the directions exactly. I know this is a little thing, but the pro's might know what fixer meant here, and the noobs may not (like in my case) and I just wanted to point that out and clarify some things (and get some clarification on my end).

Any help would be appreciated. Again, thanks guys.

you are correct. The instructions should read "C:\Program Files"
I wrote that read me before I added the background folder to be sure the users have a valid background images. I will correct it soon.
