You can use WMP for audio and/or video with ANY skin -- even the oldest existing skins. All you need to do is select WMP in RRConfig and choose the skin you want as usual. I only suggest you look at the comparisons of audio/video players in the plugins section first.

Okay. I was concerned about all the things to install that are specifically to winamp, since I'm not using it anymore. In particular this, from the list of features on the first page:

" ...Lyrics, Ratings, Library Search, ..., Delete Current."

So this will work with WMP? Great!

I doubt it ... the search facility uses the media library which is part of Winamp as is the tag editor. delete_current probable does not rely on WA.

I thought the tag, ratings feature modified the files directly (not winamp library). I really need to have the ratings things going on, it's great when you rate a song you downloaded, in the car, in the airplane, office, in the car, and they're all consistent.

It is great if you aim for that that the files themselves get moddded (tags), and not some ad hoc library. Most libraries can read/import the tags from the files, so that helps.

I'll try it anyway and see what happens.

Yes you can ...

Go to the "List-Mode" player, and select the SORT option. This popup's up a menu form where you can change the settings for both Shuffle and Repeat.
