Hi Kruben.

No this is for the old I-bus BMW's, as far as I know there is nothing availible for the I-drive cars.

iDrive control is not supported altough in theory it can be controlled by anything that can control RR. So if someone comes up with the necessary hard and software to make iDrive control RR, it can be controlled by it.

Carx24 has a frondend for iDrive cars. But integrating the hardware seems quite difficult from what I've seen of it. Here's a link.

tobmag, you meen controling it with the OEM naviscreen buttons/knobs. I really haven't done anything with that since I don't have an OEM navi. I also don't know the iBus codes for those buttons.

The only ones I use are the steering wheel buttons. I have made "on" state screens for the menu's and a modified iBusRR file that uses the steering wheel buttons to navigate through the menus. Downside is that when in any of the menus there is no volume control and track control since the buttons are then used for navigation.
The only copy of this iBusRR.ini file is in my car. I will make a copy of it and put it online along with the new skin with the "on" state screens in the next couple of days.

Further than that nothing really has changed to the skin since my last post here.

Yes thats right, you will actually find all codes in the CarX .ini file.
If you dont have the OEM navi in your car I assume it will be difficult for you to develop.....
There is not really any good front ends out there. CarX is working but way to many bugs, right now Im using CarMedia instead much simplier but without bugs at least:-)

great skin, love the oem look and its nice and simple for me too; I was looking for a skin without internet and lots of other options in it as I just want it for music, movies, pics and nav in my car..

one question though; im using igo8 for my nav and regardless of where i tell it to open the igo window in the igo pc_sys config file it always ends up horizontally aligned where the skin wants it to go (ie aligned with the top corner of the side-bar in its extended position) which cuts the right hand end off my nav window.. is there a way around this so i can get it aligned more to the left? I was hoping to align my window at zero on the horizontal.. While this would mean the sidebar would overlap the nav window a bit I can live with this as the main menu buttons on igo are on the right hand side!

ideally i could do with a different gps skin which has just the top and bottom bars without the sidebar, and an exit button on the bottom bar (igo runs 478 x 800 from memory) however I don't have the skills for the skinning side of things
If I created the graphics for this would it be possible to integrate as an alternative nav skin on the next release?

Great Skin!
Thanks for your effort. I hope you will develope it furthermore.
I will give it a try. Perhaps I will using another navigation software.
Automappa is very good in Europe.
