True, but it's not the Simplistique skin. It's the one that comes loaded with the RR installation.

Here is a screen shot of iGuidance running Full screen in my DigitalFX skin:
To do this, you need to make a skin, that has the full 800 x 600 area defined as the application area. You then need a way to get back to Road Runner. In this case, the translucent minimize looking button in the top right, is what does this. It is an auto it script, that displays that image over the top of iG and when pressed, sends a command to Road Runner to load your normal GPS skin back up.
You can download my skin and pick it appart, as the button would work in the simplistique, or any skin for that matter, and you can also change the .bmp image that is displayed to whatever you want it to be.

Oh my bad. I assumed it was the simplistique skin from one of his other images.
Thanks for the advice JohnWFB. I'll see what I can do with it.

Has author ever released source files for this skin?
I'm set on using this skin next but I have to change few things first to suit my needs and remove things that I won't be needing.

Hi peeps!
I haven't died - I've just been busy with uni work n web development ( http://www.virtuallyevolve.com ) things - apologies to those who I haven't had chance to reply to. This thread is getting a bit long-winded. It would be nice to condese all the knowledge/troubleshooting into a new FAQ somewhere along the line.
They say no news is good news, right? Well my personal good news is since I last ripped the carputer out and changed the settings etc my carputer has been running like a dream: It takes about 10 secs to shutdown (hibernate) and then about 25 secs to turn on (come out of hibernation). All music / GPS / radio / video / DVD / TV (tho 5hite reception) are all working tremendously and each screen loads up instantaneously (where b4 it would be really slow switching screens). As a suggestion for speedy screen switchin' I suggest having RR preload all the skin files (an option in the config files) - ur system will take longer to cold boot up but when its up and running its all instant switching between the skin's screens. Also, if you're having issues with ur GPS receiver during hibernation, install Xport - an amazing little app built to share the GPS data but it also cures all USB GPS misbehaviour.
I would love to have the time to add all the goodies you lot have been adding over time to it but I also just don't want to upset the nice ecology of my smooth running system. One thing I'd really love to get round to is integrating my phone with the system. I have a mic and eveything ready but last time I checked my T-mob MDA Pro wasn't compatible with Phoco so its been a no go. Would love tru handsfree capability tho. Google Earth positioning would also be cool. And perhaps traffic cams from the BBC. All stuff on "The List".
I do however have a lot of other issues with the car which need attending to more promptly (like my AC blowers have given up!) so now I can't see out when it mists up! Jeez - the joys of motoring, eh?!

Look through the thread and u will find them. Also, if anyone is interested I can definately modify the skin to your liking
I'm currently fixing the skins that were added and have created a list of all the items that do not work on each. For example, the weather skin has a bunch of issues. The mute button wasn't working, the volume level wasn't working, etc. I fixed those issues and I'm trying to fix the rest.

I just to installing the HQCT using the Simplistique skin. For some reason the sound from a radio station begins as soon as the computer starts. When I'm in the skin, I cannot change or see any radio information. Any help?

Hi! I have a little problem...
I upgraded to the newest RR (i used to have an old version of 2006).
I made an install of the newest RR over my current version.(Not an update, have no internet connection on car!)
after that, the simplistique skin doesn't work. it tries to load it, simply see the screen, then it goes back to bmv2 basic skin... Any idea?
Should i make a clean install? is there any newer version of simplistique that i'm missing after the 0.3 version ???
Please Help!!!

gas1973- Check your configuration settings file and make sure everything is correct.
rev1richie - You need the flash in order for it to work. Research that problem and there is also a bug with the newest flash i believe but there is a fix. Pm me if you have any more questions.

It is amazing the level of developement that has occured with this skin since it first came out. I loved it then and skimming over some of the latest additions I have fallen in love all over again. I'll be trying to load up my new EPIA system this weekend with it and see how it goes, also actually read the whole thread once I'm home too.
I may make some mods as a lot of features wont be used by me, just Audio/Vido/Navigation/Telecomm for now -- I want to add OBD (even later on board tuning), cd ripping and a reverse cam... but I have to work within my monetary means and go one step at a time.
