the preview screens are pretty old, and based on void2.0. I need to take new screenshots.

The list that are on a few of the main menu options are not ilist enabled, but they will be in the update. Just an oversight.

Winamp 5.13 is the ONLY version of winamp 5x that works correctly with RoadRunner, esp in reguards to the visualization window.
If you are having troubles with the vis window this is likely the biggest reason for that.

If you are having a flicker, be very specific in what you are seeing. The way the visuals are setup, if you turn them ON on the main menu, then go to the audio player. If will first turn the visuals OFF, then go to the audio player and turn them ON again. This is likely the flicker most are seeing. If you have screen transitions turned on, its greatly reduced.
This is a feature with a side affect. Like those drug commercials.

I get tired of turning the vis on and off on different screens, so this method will keep it on as you move to another screen that supports it.
If its bothering people a lot i can easily remove it. Then it will go back to old behavior, when u turn the vis on it stays on that screen and stays on till u turn it off.

oh, and if your visuals are not transparent, thats because you have not set them up to be. You need to turn on the transparent click though, do a search for screensaver in this thread. I know screensaver is a misleading name, dont blame me. There are instructions on how to set it up.

I may put in some options to set this up and turn it on from inside the skin in the update.

Which btw will not be today. Sorry. I have a bunch of stuff for work that needs my attention, gotta pay the bills.

After looking at the visuals for a sec, it seems some new code has been put into RR to do natively what i was doing. So this is pretty nice and works better. So expect to see some improvements here.

There really is no integration of freefone with RR. Embedding it is the only way. It completely made from flash (ui at least) so there really isnt any customization or intergration options to be honest. Unless there has been some significant changes to it (i wouldnt know). But i can at least take a look at it. One of the main reasons why its not included as an option by default is the way the ui is built and there are no customization options , so it just looks out of place in any other skin than the one it was originaly made for. Which is by design i think.

ok, just confirmed localy and externaly, there is a bug with the visuals in RoadRunner.
So an update to RR's code will be needed. I didnt notice this until i removed the code i had in place to manage the visual window. When i take my code out, the visuals are pretty broken right now. So dont expect the visuals to get better till a update to RR is released.

BUt, could you spare a few minutes to write a little blurb on the changes/improvements included in the update?

I know that most of it can be sifted out of the thread, but it would be nice to be able to see wha tis and is not comming in the update............

Also, I know it's a RR setting, but is anyone else having trouble with the current song playing not being highlighted? According to the config and ini files, the setting is there, but it doesn't seem to work..........
It's a minor annoyance (I can live with it) but it would be nice if it worked as per.

Oh, one more thing:
I've decided to fool around with Gearth in the skin seeing how there is a button for it. Should I install RREarth and follow the readme text to get it to work properly? I assume I need Google earth as well.............
Maybe a little tutorial from someone who has it set up for those of us just beginning to dabble?

you only need to install Google Earth and the RREarth plugin, but do NOT change anything with the skin or copy any new files into the skins folder. All of that is already in place. I believe all you need is the RREarth.exe and RREarth.dll in the root of your RR install. You may have to register the dll. Im not sure if i included the plugin with the skin install, but i will in the update. So in the future you will only need to install GoogleEarth.

As for whats in the update, there is a post a few post up that list all the stuff. But there will be a change list on the first page when the update is released.

Actually I prefer the main window not to have an ilist because the ilist causes the visualization to run a lot choppier in the audio screen (at least I assume its because of the ilist), so i usually leave mine in my main screen where the visualization runs way smoother. If you are intending on making the main screen have ilists, is there going to be an option for this, or will it be automatic? Just a thought...

For the same reason as above, I like each window to remember its on/off status. Right now, I have it working that way (I think its only working because of a bug), but I

1) turn my vis on in the main window
2) go to audio where it's now on and turn it off
3) go back to the main screen where it is now off and turn it back on.

This basically enables the vis to stay active on the main screen and not in the audio window where it runs very choppy and obscured my ilist. On ocassion when I switch back to the main screen the vis doesn't show up until I touch the screen, but in about 90% of the cases it does show back up.

In regards to the top of the first line in the playlist being cutoff on the main screen, I am having that issue as well. I just thought it was intended...but I guess that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

In regards to the video issue mentioned earlier where the playlist is not updating with the newly selected files, I did check my RR version and it is 11-2. I will try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the skin now that my path is set up correctly, and I am assuming it access the new files just fine. I'll update when I test it out.

*New Question*: Sometimes when I open up the navi screen and then close it, and switch to several different screens in between, the navigation screen seems to have been closed out. So when I click navi again, it loads up the screen from scratch as well as iguidance. Normally this is no problem, except when navigating where it could be a problem if you were waiting on the next turn and didn't know iguidance had shut down. Is there any way to make sure the navi screen and iguidance remain loaded? Maybe it's something I overlooked, but I would assume that once navi is started up, it should remain active in the background.

Other than the above issues with the video and navi screens, the skin is working great. I went on a long roadtrip this weekend, about 10 hours total, and had no lockups or freezes. On occasion RR crashed when I tried to load an entire genre, so I went through each of the albums in there and noticed one of them is having trouble being read (no track list in RR), so I'll look into that. I also had difficulty clicking items in the ilist and oftentimes I had to click 2-3 times on an item before it was selected, but I will post that issue in the RR release thread. Thanks again!

Anybody sucessfully got 3.0 running on an Intel D201GLY (Little Valley)? 3.0 works well on my desktop computer but freezes on "AUDIO" in the D201GLY. I've updated RR to the Nov 2nd release, and ran DXDIAG sucessfully.

Debug reports the same DXinit automation error as a poster a few pages ago reported. Guino says it's a DirectX problem. I've got all the latest drivers but still no go. Running XP Media Center 2005.

If you got it running on this board can you tell me which version of XP and the driver dates for the audio and video?

BTW, Void 2.02 runs perfect on this board.
