Just curious - or perhaps we need to live with this one.
Thanks ---
no there is nothing i can do about the skin editor showing false fonts, since the values for all the fonts are located in a txt file. The only thing that could be done is for the skineditor to load the INC files that have the font data.
I usually work with RR and the skineditor side by side so its really not an issue for me, i just reload RR (F5) when i want to see changes.

But I am having one problem. When listening to music, the play list doesnt switch to the song I am listening to unless i change screens, ie if i am at the main menu and select audio it will reflect the correct song, otherwise it will have the wrong song selected.
I am guessing this is a flash issue, but I have did the flash work around, (flash.zip) I have also lowered my video hardware accelaration.
I am using a sp13000 mobo
Thanks,
what version of winamp are you running?
There was at least one other person with this problem in the last version. Ive never seen it happen on my end.
I dont think its related to the skins though, but just to check try to load any other skin not by me and see if the tracks changes update in the list.
Let me know what happens.
Also note, by all means this is NOT a flash skin. There are some flash elements, mostly just logo clocks and a flash compass both of which are off by default and optional. So no flash performance hacks are needed. You can turn your hardware acceleration back up to full.

also for all those downloading the latest crop of updates, let me know if you run into any odd new issues. It was pretty late when i packaged all that stuff up.
If you run into problems with the manual install, try the automated (installer) one first.

I was running the latest version of 5.0, but I uninstalled and reinstalled 2.95 i think.. which ever one was the lastest of the 2. series.
I was using the Blue Devil skin prior and the list would change accordingly.

so which version do you currently have installed? The latest 5.3x versions of winamp have issues with road runner.
I would not recommend going any higher than winamp 5.13 (this is the version i use). Every version ive tested above 5.13 has issues, some you may not notice right away.

Some wishes for the "Clean" main screen mode, since i find it really useful.
1. The "-" character at the GPS speed... you must have forgotten to delete it since the previous version of skin
2. The only thing this screen lacks in the name of the song currently playing.

Only one other small bug I found... My main screen seemed to autoswitch to a different screen after being idle for a bit (I believe I saw the option to disable this, but I kinda like it). This is ok, except that it was going to that dark screen again during the day.
Just wanted to try to help you get it all fixed in one shot
Thanks!

1.) i did remove the - in the speedo, are you still seeing this? There are 11 options for the main menu, its possible i forgot to remove it on one or more of them. I dont see it though.
2.) yeah, i noticed this being a small issue as i too would wonder what song was playing when i use the CLEAN option. It has some info in the top left, ill prob just change that to show the current track also.

I only see it in CLEAN main screen mode. The other options are ok.

humm, thats very odd. I just created that option. Not sure how the text would show on your end thats not in the file.
unzip the attatched rar file into these directories, overwrite the menu.skin files
SKINS\LSX_VOID_NIGHT\ALT\SFSC
SKINS\LSX_VOID_DAY\ALT\SFSC
load RR and choose the CLEAN option again.
this is the same file that is included in the installer.

New idea for future versions - play count for song files. Not sure if this is available for RR in general, but something that could be implemented in the frontend similar to the ratings playlist (ie. auto playlist of songs that have been played >= 10 times, etc).
Just a thought..

Well, there is a way to get winamp to count the number times the song has been played. I don't remember exactly how to do it
