Thanks in advance.
Its more like FreeFone is causing RR to exit, not the skin, since FreeFone does not come with the skin it is not aware of its existence. Sounds like FreeFone is sending a command to RR at the end of the call that is conflicting with an existing command in the skin. I can look into it, but dont expect a speedy reply.

Hey Smoke. How ya doin?
Quick Question: Can one use a fingerprint reader with LSX Void to unlock the screen?
Is there any way to do this with an add on program?
For instance. Power off vehicle. Computer goes into hibernate or standby. Power up vehicle CAr PC comes back up and the skin presents the please place fingerprint to unlock screen rather than an access code or in addition to an access code as an alternative. For those times that the finger print is not read or what not a code could be keyed in.
Thanks for any info.

this sounds like an awesome idea. i guess it depends on how the scanner works.
from what i read the software that comes with the scanner will probably allow you to "train" the password for the lock skin

LS had the download up for a couple days (or was it a week? can't remember), there were some issues with the release, so he took the download "off-line" until he could make some adjustments and additions.
So, basically, if you didn't get 3.0 when it was released briefly, you're back into the waiting cycle for the re-release/update.
Cheers

hey LS, i hope you're doing ok as well. we've all been eagerly waiting for the re-release and completely forgot you had other stuff going on.
when you do get a chance, i did have an idea for eliminating the issue of blank album art showing up for songs with no artwork. i believe guino has enabled transparent ilists in his newest version, so you could actually have the album art show up behind the ilist if it does exist, and if it doesnt, it wont be noticeable at all.
also, i had an idea for your history feature on the playlists. i think the problem right now is that the items are numbered, which can be kind of misleading. for example, if you are on playlist 3 at the moment, where does the new one get created, in slot 3 or always in the last slot 5? i think maybe a better way to do it would just to have a single button like CF that shows you the total number of current saved playlists, and every time you create a new one it gets saved. then hitting the button will just cycle through all the playlists in a 'clockwise' direction. so you could change the left/right buttons into cycle/delete buttons, where the cycle button jus loops through the list, and the delete button removes the current playlist from memory and loads up the next one.
i have noticed right now, that when i add a new playlist, and then hit back, it does go to the previous playlist just fine. the forward button works too. but anytime you get to the beginning or end of the cycle (i.e 1 or 5), everything starts misbehaving. thats why i think a circular fashion would be better and more intuitive. i found it very easy to use inside CF.
get well soon, and good luck!
EDIT: great news! both of the issues with iguidance closing and GE not working have been solved. all i had to do is increase the number of screens to store in memory. it was defaulted to 3 for some reason, so any time i visited 3 more screens afterwards, the gps screen would be closed out and i guess iguidance went with it. same thing with RREarth, except for whatever reason, the skin closing screwed up GE. i guess this is because the network link for gps suddenly disappeared and it ended up opening the gps dialog in GE and screwing everything up. so my question is this, is there any way to keep those two screens from ever leaving memory? i added them to the preload list (hopefully external_gps.skin and rrearth.skin are the correct ones), but i dont think there are 12 other screens i even visit to check if it is a permanent fix or not.

everything is cool, just very busy. Havnt even had time to be online last few days.
my sleep schedule was all screwed up so ive been sleeping earlier than normal. Work, kids etc has had my hands tied past few days.
The re-release is just around the corner. Really only one thing left to do with a script.
It really could be released at any moment. I just need to steal some time from somewhere.
