small oversight. Ill prob have to setup something like what you suggested. For now, create a folder in the root of your music path named this -{VOICE_RECORDINGS}- with the dashes etc. See if that fixes the no path. Ill take a look at the code for this feature and step through it and see how the paths are setup, i wrote this a very long time ago. I know that it tries to save the audio file based on the date.

what is that app that you are embeding? It looks like its embeding fine but seems like the application may be fighting to be resized to the area RR wants it. What is the smallest space you can resize that app to? Does it prevent you from resizeing it to really low.
Also, just curious cuz that app looks like a media player. Just seems odd to embed a media player into a media player.

for the pink line, make sure you have regestered all the proper .dll files that RR needs. This should of been done with the RR installer. Also, check in RR.ini and make sure you have
fastmode=-1
Ill post my rr.ini file a little later that people can use as reference or even as a starting point.

Any way to make the ilist continuously scroll? Horizontal swipe (like in coverflow) or something, so that it slowly scrolls continuously until find the song title and press it or FF/RWD/PLAY.

there is a space/separator on all list at the end of the list. There is no grouping within a list for separate albums (that would be cool though), this can (and should) be requested as a feature or RR to guino.

The list can continuously scroll, by setting CircularList=true in RR.ini although it will eventually stop.

ENABLE FreeFone

extract the attatched files into the skin, overwrite any files present.
you do not have to download FreeFone its included
edit settings.ini and put in your com port# for your phone
Use the existing "PHONE" button to load FreeFone
If you do not see a "PHONE" button, click and hold any button on the main menu, or secondary main menu's (left right arrow buttons) and choose "PHOCO" from the list.
DONE.
This update will DISABLE PhoneControl.net If you use PhoneControl.net do not apply this update.

Note: If you have made custom edits to ExecTBL.ini in the skin folder, this will overwrite your changes. If you want to preserve your custom edits, do not overwrite this file. Instead add this line to the end of the file.

forgot to add the second file, if you downloaded the enable_freefone update already, grab the second file in the post above this one and put the phonepics folder in the skins folder

i just checked my rr.ini and fastmode=-1 but i am still getting that pink line. what .dll am i supposed to register? i didnt register any before this newest one.

Is it possible to place the incoming and outgoing calls skin in front of the normal skin.
Now road runner minimizes and i can see parts of my ugly desktop, because the skin is not on the whole screen...

Can Freefone be auto started when the skin loads? Now you have to click on PHONE to enable freefone.
Can images only be used when using the phonebook.txt?

why does RR minimize? Is this being done by FreeFone on a incoming call?

i believe the dll is GDIPlusWrapper.dll im sure its allready registered though.

I think there is a different line in rr.ini to check sorry for the last one i said to check.

i just turned it off on my end and I didnt notice any pink lines, but i did just find a fix for a vista issue

ive seen this happen before though, just cant fully remember the resolution. I know its related to ilist and also related to older code (clipping) The dlls for all the new fancy features in RR are GDIPlusWrapper.dll and dx7vb.dll the latter should allready be present on your machine if your using XP, if your using vista the file is not included with the OS but it comes with the skin so you should have it no matter what.

Ill try to break it on my end so i can remember what the fix is, in the meantime give the above a try.

First of all Happy New Year!

When i have an incoming or outgoing call, the music pauses, RR minimizes and the fonecall.skin appears.
This skin is now in front of my desktop and not full screen.
I don't know if thats the way it has to work, but i think it's nicer if this fonecall.skin appears in front of RR if possible?

About the images.
I meant the images in the phonepics folder.
If they can be used with only phonebook.txt or also with the phonebook from my mobile phone.
But i think i have the answer now, they can be used with both phonebooks, but the name of the image has to be exact the same as the number.
I'll search for it some more, because it's not really the thread for this issue.

ok, i understand, FreeFone must be hard coded to use Load; instead of Menu; for the incoming & outgoing call. RR isnt actually minimizeing though, the screen its calling was designed as a popup screen, but FreeFone is calling it a different way. Ill just have to redesign the screen is all. No biggie. Ill post a update for it later tonite.

Im the image, you will notice that the song is chopped off at the top. How do I edit to fix this?

Also the song thats playing, its not in BOLD. (which is number 2)

I have a request for the gps screen. Would it be possible to have the screen in the first option (audio player on the bottom, IG embedded) with only a simple full screen button in the upper LH corner and no fly out menu?
The fly out menu functionality is very nice, but most of the functions I need can be reached through the "menu" button in the program, except for full screen. The Upper LH corner would be best for the fullscreen arrow button as there is nothing in that quadrant right now. The "directional arrow" resides in the upper rh quadrant where the fullscreen button is in the current program.

The top being cut off is an RR issue according to LS. also i don't think the playing song is in bold, its just in the center

eitherway, the chopped off top is an issue in RR.
songs also are not in bold and there is no setting for this when using ilist, but there maybe something i do with the colors that will make the current playing song stand out more even when the selection bar is focused on something else.

the fullscreen button in the right corner is there and not on the left because when you have a route set, the next turn direction arrow is on the top left corner as well as distance to the turn. I sacrificed slightly covering up the heading arrow on the right as i deemed it slightly less important than the next turn and there are also heading arrows (currently broken in latest RR) on all of the other screens in RR. But... the location of the button is editable and i believe the location is sent to the button from a command in RR. So you could modify this in your version easily. Ill post what line to edit after dinner, ill have to dig through the code to find it. Also, fyi those buttons can be dragged around the screen. Soon ill add some code that will auto save the position off the button/s so after you move it, it will always start at that position.

The flyout menu is nearing its expiration date and will likely go away all together and be replaced with something else thats more customizable. Something with a list of commands you could choose from. None of the functions are things that cant be done from the main menu button, they are just shortcuts mainly so you dont have to traverse down 3-4 menus deep to get to things.

There will be a lot of work done to the GPS support, specificly a lot of ripping out and redoing and such. There are a lot of scripts that are redundant and or have multiple versions that do the same thing based on what version of gps software you are using.
I need to simplify everything thats going on with GPS, even if it means dropping default support for some gps apps like freedrive etc and provide them as add ons, cuz im almost certain that most people use IG with this skin. And also remove special code for older versions of IG, most should have upgraded to IG4 by now. There will also be a IG4 mod coming soon too.

so there will a lot of changes under the hood to all things gps related in the near future.

FreeFone update

updated the links for the freefone intergration. Check the link on the first post to update.

Everything is included in one file now, also if you are updating the only file you need copy over after you unzip is Fonecall.skin all other files are the same.

i can see your image now, i see the list on your screen is not an ilist. I still havnt gotten around to double checking the available download but by default they should be ilist now. Im assuming they arent though, ive been told by default its not but it should be. Using ilist will fix the text cut off i believe, but im not 100% sure.
Ill try to make sure i post an updated full download this weekend.
