Also, my 'presets' do not seem to work, when I return from hibernate it seems to go back to to the playlist before the one I was currently playing when I went into hibernate. Any suggestions here?

i havnt had a chance to make the patch yet, so its still coming. Im also progressively getting more busy at work and home and the next month will likely be slow motion on the skin. Ill look into the path to disable ilist tonite though, a simple search and replace should work, so it may be posted in a few.

LS> Just letting you know that the VIS is still overwritten by the album art (after 60sec).

Any way to make the album art NOT appear if there isnt anything to show?

Lastly,
1) I want to make the VIS turn off when leaving the Audio player screen.
2) I want to automatically reduce the volume by 20 when exiting the VIDEO screen - as the music is ALWAYS much louder than the audio track on the video. And returning to AUDIO hurts my ears .

I assume I need to add a VIS:OFF type command onto the end of the CLOSE label line - but Im not 100% sure. Similarly, probably adding 20x 'Vol-' (although there's probably a smarter way) onto the CLOSE line in the video screen will do number 2.

This is probably basic stuff for some of u guys, so if u can help out, I'm all ears
Peace

There is no way for me to know if you have album art or not, and thus no commands can be associated with it. Thats why i added the option to turn off the automatic album art view in the audio player. The setting is under OPT>Audio Player i believe. Ive been doing some re shuffleing of the options locally so i dont remember the exact path, but its under audio player in the options.

Visuals are broken in RoadRunner and have been for the last few releases. I wouldnt set up any custom commands to do anything with the visuals until they are fixed in RR.

For leaving the video player and returning to audio, i can see how this would be a problem with loud music. There are a few ways to go about it, but the easiest i believe is to use existing code in the skin. There is a custom command called "DUCK" that use for att purposes. When ever you click the att button the duck command is used.
You can modify the button code for the close button in the video player to execute the duck command right before it exits the video. The button code would look like this.
"DUCK||ESC"

also, another way to do it, i just remembered that is much nicer is to do it directly with winamp.

You can setup winamp to fade in the volume whenever the audio is paused, stopped or resumed.

Run winamp stand alone.
Options>Preferences>Plugins>Output>DirectSound output>Configure>Fading tab
enable for "on pause/stop" and check "use custom fade time:" and play with the value till its the way you want it.

This IMO is the better method and you dont have to screw with the skin to set it up.

Audio button

Hello

First off, the skin is awesome. Ive recently pulled by setup out of my car to update from 2.0.

Ive run into a problem through. after installing it everything works but the audio button. After clicking it RR freezes. I have tried it on vista and xp pro. Im running the recommended winamp 2.95. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I Added all the updates. Ive read through this post and there were a couple of posts, but I cant see a fix. If i missed it Im sorry.

This is the error from debug.
1/17/2008 11:20:31 PM: Que Exec: True, menu.skin, "AP01", False
1/17/2008 11:20:31 PM: Executing: AUDIO
1/17/2008 11:20:31 PM: Error on InitDX: 429 ActiveX component can't create object

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Joe

Never Mind

Guess this was a directx issue.
downloaded dx7vb.dll to c:\windows\system32

then ran regsvr32 dx7vb.dll

Problem resolved!

Cheers for the other info.

How does your top right corner button turn the visualisations on/off?
Thats all I really want to do, or is yours a toggle button.
If it is a toggle, is it possible to set a state flag (VisOn=1/0) and then only perform the toggle it if VisOn=1?

I'm just getting started here - I have a simple question....

Post # 2 on page 1 of this thread has a link titled "DOWNLOAD VOID 3.2" but it takes me to your site to download Void 3.0. How do I know if I have v3.2?

Thanks...
Mark

sorry to bump my own question, but any info on this? i looked into the net.kml file and it is empty, as though no data is being entered. this is what is causing the parse error in GE. Is it possible some file is missing from this package? I was looking for anywhere to configure the port or location, etc. but I don't see any rrearth or GEearth ini files anywhere??

also are we supposed to manuall add the commands into exectbl or something? i know i had it working great on my last computer with void 3.0, im not sure why its not working now.

I had a similar error a few weeks back. Downloading the entire file again fixed it. Make sure to delete the old file from your HDD before you attempt to redownload (not overwrite it!). Sometimes when overwriting, windows doesnt do a proper job. And you will get stuck with the same corrupt data as before.

I have the latest version + patches, and did NOT notice the search button.
