Geez, I swear, everytime I fix one thing, something else pops up. Now everytime I switch songs in the playlist, the WAVE line mutes itself. I haven't made any changes recently, it just started doing it by itself. I try to change the setting in GPS that says Reduce Volume to 100% to ENABLE, and after Save and Exit, it still shows it DISABLED. What gives?

OK, Newbie
Search for XPORT3 and run it. Select you COM Port3 on top and 4800 boud.
Then split the port into 2 more and click enable. What ever port you have it split, REMEMBER IT.
Now open iGuidance (Without Road Runner) and under TOOLS>PORT SETTINGS, select ONE of the split ports, then iG should work.
Now run RRConfig.exe and under GPS select the other split port, save and exit.
Road Runner and iG should run fine now.

Awesome! I will give this a shot. I was thinking XPORT was a piece of hardware.

iGuidance works fine by itself, RR still crashes. So much for that!

Just tried to reinstall RR again, and still getting the same thing. It just randomly crashes after a few seconds, although when running Void, it crashes before it completes loading the skin. Any other ideas?

Damnit, after the reinstall, it started doing the audio crap again. Any idea what line of code is causing this? It mutes the volume when you change the track...

dude one thing at a time. ok about your gps issues, did you download and install xport? you NEED to do this to get RR and iguidance to work. go into device manager, find out what com port your gps device is on (lets presume its com3). then in xport select com3 from the topmost bar and then in the two underneath select two other comports such as com5 and com6. then hit enable ports. now your com3 no longer exists, only 5 and 6. so in rrconfig, set the comport to 5, and then in iguidance set the comport to 6. that way each will have its own com port. DO NOT USE COM 3 ANYMORE, it is now tied up. that should fix your RR crashing issues unless they are flash related, in which case you need to download and install flash (look in the faq section for more information)

as for your audio issues with it muting on each track switch, try running winamp alone first and see if you get the same issue. if you do then your problem is not in RR. if it happens only in RR, go into the mixer and see which volume is muting each time. is it master, wave, or winamp? sometimes i had issues with my lines muting when i tried to adjust the bass and treble controls because i dont have those options in windows mixer so it was screwing everything up. just try setting in rrconfig to control only master volume for now (not 'all lines') to see if that helps.

also ensure you are running winamp 5.13 only, NO OTHER VERSION.

edit: just also thought of one more thing in relation to crashes. make sure u have your latest video card drivers and also download and install the latest directx. in rrconfig make sure gdi+ mode is enabled

I appreciate the help, but everything that you listed, I have done. Still crashes.

1) I installed XPort3 as soon as MGD informed me of what to do. Searched for it in Google and was forwarded right back here to a thread with someone asking for the install, and I installed it no problem. I split COM3 into 4 and 6, and tested iGuidance first on COM4 and worked fine. Tried RR with COM6, and it crashed. I swapped the two, COM6 with iGuidance, and RR with COM4. Same result.

2) Flash is up to date, everything was working fine a couple of days ago. Haven't installed anything other than RR and Void Skin. And actually, out of no where, the compass started showing up on the main screen. How come it never showed prior to two days ago?

3) Somewhat of a breakthrough on this point, I do remember opening up Winamp and didn't have the same issue when I fixed it yesterday. When its having this problem, it looks like for some reason, Winamp's volume goes to 0 and sticks when RR opens up again. So after I opened Winamp, turned the volume in Winamp up, closed Winamp, went back to RR, the audio is fine once again.

So I guess the audio bug is solved for now. Any other ideas with the GPS? I mean the GPS still shows in the embedded portion just fine, but it just doesn't feed the data to RR so it will show the Mi/h, Compass heading, and such, which would be a "neato factor" to have.

Thanks for your help guys!

reinstalling every single time is NOT the proper way to debug. reformat windows, update all your drivers, get a clean install going, and stick with it. make sure u have the latest version of RR (12/13 i beleive). where are u setting the comport for RR? ensure that you are not accidentally setting soemthing else. if you give RR a valid gps comport there is no reason your speed and heading shouldnt work. also please specify what you mean by 'crashing'. what exactly happens? clear out your debug file, launch rr, let it crash, and then post the results

Twinsen, to explain you audio problem.... when ever you run winamp by itself when you close it is saves all of the settings such as volume. I had the volume problem too but i ran it alone and changed the settings now it is all good.

As for your crashing, i am having the same problem. I believe i have narrowed it down to the gps. Its very inconsistent though. Sometimes it works others rr crashes over and over. As a temp fix open iguidance and winamp THEN open rr and see if that works. If you are still crashing start messing with xport. Like i said it is very inconsistent and im trying to figure it out.

also are we supposed to manuall add the commands into exectbl or something? i know i had it working great on my last computer with void 3.0, im not sure why its not working now.

EUREKA!! I redownloaded the RRearth files from post 350 of the RRearth thread, found here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/1134085-post350.html

Now it seems to be working.

@LS: your installation package either does not contain a net.kml.ini file or contains an empty version of the file. Without this ini, the net.kml generated to feed the coordinates to GE is empty. I downloaded the above package, unzipped all the contents into my main RR path, overwriting the current net.kml and net.kml.ini and now it seems to be working (i will test with actual gps tomorrow, but the error is gone). just something you may want to address in your next build.

So, downloading and extracting the files from the above link is all that is required to get GE to work with RR/LSXVoid?
