When you install the skin, you should not point the installer to the skin dir in RR, you should point it to RoadRunner's root path.
So the installer should point to
C:\Program Files\Road Runner\
Your copy of RR can be installed anywhere u like, but the skin must be installed into RR in the proper dir, which is RRs root folder.
So when everything is done you should have a folder in the root of your RR install named "LSTOOLS" and the actual skin should be located in \Road Runner\skins\LSX VOID 3.0.
Ok, I'll uninstall and re-install in the root dir and let you know later this evening.
Thanks!

RSX is correct. It is an app that allows control of the dsatx through a gui instead of using hyperterminal.
I'm sure we all know what a dsatx is (intelligent 220w power supply). It has many user set-able options, but the .swf app is a nice way to see and adjust all the options of the power supply.
And I'll be "user number two" that would like to see it included as I use a dsatx with brainstem as well.
If you could include it in the skin, that would be great!
Cheers

sounds pretty cool, i had no idea what dsatx was since i dont actually have a carputer. When i did though i had an opus psu and i suspect that it was part of the reason my original carputer died. So i likely wont be getting another one. This dsatx sounds pretty cool though, so when i do get a new carpc ill def look at getting one of these.
Im working on an update right now, dealing with some timer issues holding it up so i cant promise ill add the dsatx in this update, but i can add it as its own update. But we'll see, what i can do if this timer crap dont drive me crazy.

actually, if TeamRSX would post his modified .skin file for the dsatx and the swf file ( plus any other needed files ), i can add it right now and include it in the update. Since im assuming the screen is mostly for setting and changing options on the power supply and not a screen that you would constantly have up, i can add it directly to the options screen instead of having to shuffle button commands around to integrate it into the dynamic buttons.

DSATX info:
http://store.mp3car.com/Mp3Car_DSATX_p/pwr-023.htm
And;
http://mpegbox.com/products.html
Zootjeff makes them and keeps forums at mpegbox. And he actively supports it both here and at mpeg box. Seems like a great guy.
I've been running one for about a year and a half on my p4 system, love it. Works without a hitch, everytime. Never had a dead battery, survives crank, works in -30 C weather, etc. I just can't say enough good things about it.....
Adjusting the settings through hyperterminal was a bit of a pain though until the GUI project started.
Highky recommended purchase for any carputer.
Littel pricey compared to some of the cheaper PS's out there, but as far as I'm concerned you get your money's worth.
"You get what you pay for" defineatley holds true here. You pay a bit more but get a great dependable product and support to boot!
Cheers

I can't help with the skin file, but here's the thread with the .swf file in .rar and teamrsx's posts about getting it to work:

The problem i see is your Flash file is infact overlapping the bottom volume controls. Its set to be 800x640 and nothing should be set that big in the skin as the skin itself is only 800x480 and all edits should be done with that in mind. When you change the skin res to 800x600 via options everything scales relative to the original.
change your F line to look like this
F,0,42,800,394,"dsatx.swf"
that should fix ur overlap and also size it to properly fill the correct area.
Thanks for your help LS. After i changed the F line as you suggested everything is perfect.
Appreciate your help.

LS,
I have attached a .rar for all the files for dsatx gui application.
Please note you will need a serial to tcp/ip software converter to connect to brainstem comm port on the DSATX. Most ppl use comfoolery, but seems its hard to find.
Included is the following:
dsatx.swf - I think its the most current app.
dsatx.skin - skin file i used which works great
cf.au3 - autoit script that minimizes comfoolery at launch
Here is the URL to the original threat for this software provided by member at_b

thats what i kind of figured. Ill post something in the installer thread, not sure how good it will do though as neither RR or the Installer have been updated in months.
Will add a note on the first page about it though also.

cool.
I dont have the hardware so im not sure if even need to bother with the converter. Its kind of odd though the converter is online, so for this all to work you also have to have an online connection?
either way, im gonna pass on doing it tonite, ive been screwing with the timer **** all day and need a break. I prob need to read through that thread though and know of any issues etc before i add it in as default. Dont want to rush it as it seems it requires a few things.
so ill post the update in a bit and work on the dsatx update as a separate update for those that have the hardware.

I dont have my brainstem which connects to the dsatx power supply which connects to serial to test the converter.
I wouldn't think you need to bother with the converter as this could be download anytime and configured accordingly and especially since you dont have the dsatx and brainstem to test i'm sure just adding the flash and skin would be great.
Maybe someone else can confirm if you need an online connection for the converter. I wouldn't think so, but from what i was reading you may.
I get my DSATX and brainstem early this week so i can test it then.
No rush to add this, but would be great as a seperate update. Great job..

3.301 update
3.301 update
this is a minor update.
fixes:
orb intergration embeding problems.
movietimes intergration embeding problems.
new idle screen for main menu.
timer tweaks on the audio player, now when u have auto album art view on, it will return to list view on track change and then go back to album view after 15 sec.
There is a slightly new splash screen with correct version number of skin.
few small bug fixes.
Things to note.
I believe IDL commands are broken in RR if you have a directory list on the screen you are using the command, so unfortunately this also breaks the auto album art view on the audio player. So if you have auto album art view turned on, yet it never goes to the album art view on its own, this is why and hopefully it will be fixed in a future RR release. If you dont have this problem now then you should be ok.
to apply the update:
unzip the .rar file into the root of the skin and overwrite all existing files. If you are not prompted to overwrite any files you are in the wrong directory.

not from me, but anyone is welcome to add it and ill add it to the skin.
Im not biased against mapppoint or anything, the only reason i say no is there is a massive number of screens for mappoint. More than i care to deal with for just gps. Id also bet any other skin that dosent support mappoint, its because of this exact reason, and also cuz it dosnt seem to be as popular as other gps apps so it kind of gets left out sometimes. I think of all the skins ive done, ive only been asked maybe 2 times about mappoint.
So while i wont personally add it, i will support it if someone else adds it in.
