"Waiting for gps signal" means it doesn't see the gps mouse (yeah I know, duh).

What MGD is getting at is rr is "stealing" the port from IG4 when both programs are running.

Downlod the program "xport", it's a virtual port splitter.

Tell it which port your gps is on, then slpit that into two seperate ports (it'll be obvious how once you run the program).

Then tell RR which of the two "virtual" ports to use, and tell ig4 to use the other.

Viola, no more conflict!

I can't think of any other simpler way to describe the process............

ok i did all that and the gps is working fine now but still having the problem of it not retaining any information that i input into the program it works fine when not embedded!

Are you using the flyout menu or the menu in IG4 when inputting data in the embedded mode?

It may be a corrupted script if you can't use the flyout menu correctly.

Try using the menu button (the big blue button) in the embedded IG program and see if that works.

Also, if you have ig4 installed anywhere but the default location, this may cause problems.........

One last point:

Make sure you have the path set correctly to ig4 or you can have all kinds of funky problems with embedding.

(hopefully) Small request;

I use cdrskulls joypad 3.1 program for RR. Available here. Basically, it allows you to use a usb joypad to control RR. PLug and play simple, works right out of the box. This is useful in that I have hacked up a joypad and made hard buttons on my dash for RR functions (ie: gps, audio, dvd, fwd, play pause, vol+/-, etc)

But I'm having an issue when calling up the gps screen with joypad. When joypad sends the command to RR to intiate the gps, it loads up just fine in void except there's no script running for the flyout screen. Any idea why this is so or how to fix it? Perhaps joypad 3.1 is sending the command to RR but void goes through the skin commands and brings up the script along with gps?

I'd appreciate it if you'd have a quick look see.

First off i have no idea what the flyout menu is second all the paths are set right and it is installed in the default location and the menu button works fine!

the only problem im having is that it wont save!!! both the set home and favs reset immediately and clear out all data.

also how do make either the lsx void skin or rr its self stop messing with my dimming control?

*FIXED* xport was messing up and sending weird speeds to rr like one time it sent 1025mph to it go figure right?

look in RRconfig.

Sounds more like a ig4 issue if it's not saving your favorites.

The flyout menu is the little arrow that pops up on the gps screen on the lh side and gives you quick access to IG4's features. But you're obviously not using it, so I doubt ls's scripts are the problem.

Plus, you're starting to sound confrontational for someone with a "high tech understanding" and asking pretty basic questions, so I think i'm done replying to your posts.

Hello

There should be a button on the main screen "PHONE" that will bring up freefone. If you need to assign a button for freefone, hold down the button you wish to use for a few seconds, when the "choose a command from the list" appears select "PHOCO".

You will also need to specify the Com Port for "serial line via bluethooth /cable" in the settings.ini located in "C:\Program Files\Road Runner\skins\LSX VOID 3.0" if RR is installed in its' default location.

i am truly sorry if i sound confrontational i'm not meaning to its just kind of frustrating not knowing what i am doing on this program. don't get me wrong i love all the features and the awesome lsx void skin its just the money i forked out for a program that don't work is kinda upsetting.....

ill try reinstalling and see if that will work... if not i guess i will have to dl a pirate copy of ig3 or something i mean i do own a license for a newer copy so it cant be that bad right? i mean i did buy it!

Well, the weird thing is, when i press PHONE, phonecontrol appears instead of the default freefone.
Freefone is the default under the PHONE button right?

I also can't turn ilists on.
There is no option in "General options" to turn ilists on...

Before i installed the 3.3 version of the skin including the update i completely uninstalled the old version.
So that couldn't be the problem.

What's going wrong here?

You've got something set wrong, somewhere.

I'm using ig4 with rr and void with no issues (yes, I bought it).

It can be something as simple as a mis-typed capital or character. You just have to approach it logically and triple check everything.

I don't know why you're frustrated with IG4, it sounds as if it works just fine stand alone (which is what you paid for).

Using a pirated previous version isn't going to help you if you don't have things set up correctly.

You're just having some issues with embedding somewhere. RR isn't the easiest program to learn, but it's not the hardest. Just keep learning and looking................you'll find what's wrong.

i posted a pseudo guide towards the end of the GE plugin thread on how to cache maps and stuff. as far as embedding inside of void, all you have to do is hold down one of your buttons and change it to the GE button. LS has graciously set everything up to make it work perfectly from the get go, as long as you have your maps cached, port set, etc.
