there is a RR fix for this(in the main forum), but i believe its buggy. This is a new issue with RR (not the skin) so when a real fix will be available is unknown.

hehe, This one from the first page? I even remembered that while i was updating I reminded myself to go do that....

also note for anyone using the RR installer to install Road Runner, after you install you must delete the file ziplocator.dll or RR will crash and burn. This file should not be included with RR anymore.

Thanks for all the help.
Is there any way to turn off the screensaver that comes up on the main menu?
Another question, does Rainlendar 2 work with this skin? I downloaded the skin for it but it won't read it. All the other skins are in .r2skin format. Also clicking the calendar button in lsxvoid doesn't do anything.

Is it possible to add a button to load a website? I like the way the .net menu does it with no menus or borders on the browser but I can't figure out how to add a custom url. I just want a page to load up pandora.com
Thanks

I found an/some issue/s with the playlist browser. (AUDIO -> LIBRARY -> PLAYLIST)

I am using iLists.
My playlist directory is set correctly.

-----

when looking at my playlist directory it functions normally, load/save/rename playlists.

but when i assemble a new on the fly playlist and then hit save, and type in a name, and press enter, the iList does not update itself to display the additional playlist that has been saved to my playlist directory.

the playlist IS created/present in my playlist directory.

if you rename a playlist even renaming it to the exact name it had before, then the iList DOES update.

-----

by double clicking on a playlist in the iList, I can browse into the playlist and see the individual songs

but I can't back out of the playlist at all. theres no button for it.
so my playlist editor is stuck inside ironmaidenplaylist.m4a until i restart RR.

and hitting rename renames my music files! DANGER

-----

so in summary:
-ilist doesnt update when a new playlist is saved to the playlist directory.
-can browse right into a playlist and cant back out.
-can rename my mp3s - surely not intended??

i take it that playlist menu is not supposed to browse into the playlist files?
if i'm missing the point i apologise.

hope ive given enough detail

thanks heaps for your work, smoke.

ilist hibernation work around.

for anyone whos wondering about this,
heres how i have gotten around the problem of ilists resuming blank.

in exectbl.ini

"ONSUSPEND","LOAD; black.skin"
"ONRESUME","ESC"

its not a new idea that going to a skin without an ilist avoids the ilist problem,
but lsx has the blackout skin (very simple skin) just sitting there so its a nice work around.

on my system it appears to 'just work' with no short glimpse of some random screen at resume.

THanks for the reply. I will look for that particular file although i know i have the latest version of RR. I did a fresh install from a formatted drive.

Thanks

Deos anyone now if the current 3.3 download has the 3.301 update incorporated already?

Also, what proggy are most people using to cache GE maps?

"GE cacher" appears to no longer be available for download.

http://bx11.gratis-server.de/gecacher.htm

Broken site.

Anyone have it available for download?

You'll have to excuse me, I searched as best I could but couldn't find any details on estimated system requirements. From your experience, what can you tell me about how this skin performs on various systems? I'm thinking of building a new computer just so I can run this skin, the video looks incredible.

Thanks

The Dll is named ZipLocater.dll which is included in the 12/06 beta that is out and about. Once i removed that dll everything started working including the heading indicator that never worked for me before.

I do have another question that hopefully someone may be able to answer. How do i change the video in the weather section Weather--> Radar--> Forcast?

It loads some video from chicago. Is there some place i change that to point to a local source. I looked all around but couldn't find that particular skin file.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

I tried this but it doesn't work for me. The only thing I can do is either reload the whole skin or switch to a non ilist screen before shutting down. I have no idea why the above code wouldn't work though.

Well, I decided that whatever system I put in now is just going to be overkill for running roadrunner or even streetdeck for that matter, so I won't worry about the system requirements.

I feel ashamed that my car PC will be faster than the old 1.7 Ghz Desktop I check my email and do schoolwork on. I can't even get itunes visualizers to run on that thing without slowing it down, ha!
