old vs new
Ls love the new skin. but i was wondering if it is at all possible to make the playlist where you rate the music and make playlist a option on the older style of Void. What i mean is i like the way the older version was laid out with the audio but i like the options with the new. Reason being i have a 4x7 screen and its a little tight trying to manipulate the screens while moving. I would just stick with the old but i love the other veatures that you have in v2.0

Also, am I the only person having problems non-english fonts? It worked fine with the old LSX's but no matter what I do, I cannot get RR to format the id3 tags within the playlist and audio browser. What youa see in the screenshot is actually the file name. It seems that RR always append 'yt' before as shown in screenshot 2.
what version of flash are you using? To turn the flash compass on/off
click OPT> go to screen 5/5
your screen should look like this,

also for all those with ITALIC fonts I'll be looking into this ASAP, im certain this is a font issue. If all the fonts on your entire computer are italic, im sorry for that. For those with the italic issue please state what version of windows you are running and if it is US ENGLISH version of windows.
I tested the installed fonts on 4 machines and some external testing and this never happened. My machines all run WinXPpro (US ENG) or WinXP MCE2k5 (US ENG).
To try and narrow down the font that is causing issues.
This is a list of fonts that are installed.
ARIALN.TTF (arial narrow)
ARIALNB.TTF (arial narrow bold)
ARIALNBI.TTF (arial narrow bold italic)
ARIALNI.TTF (arial narrow italic)
ARIRDBD.TTF (arial rounded bold)
LSXVOID.TTF (custom font with icons/symbols)
webdings.ttf (symbols)
wingding.ttf (symbols)
WINGDNG2.TTF (wingdings 2 symbols)
WINDGNG3.TTF (wingdings 3 symbols)
Each font is only installed if it is not already on your machine.
Try to remove each font one by one to see which font is causing the issue.

i had this problem also, it seems to be the LSXVOID.TTF that is causing it... it seems to mess with the default arial font for some reason... deleting it fixes the italicized problem
now the only problem i'm having is getting winamp's avs plugin to embed... other than that great skin, definitely my favorite at this point

Great Skin! I'm newbie & your skin really inspired me to start my carputer project this year. I spent my whole nite yesterday toying with this skin. Maybe my wife will divorce me once the project start.
Is it possible to use FreeFone & nRoute(Garmin GPS) for this skin?
Cheers!

ok, thats what i kind of thought as the other fonts are all standard.
What language is your OS set to?
for the avs, make sure winamp is set to classic skin, not modern.

set to english, and it looks like the new font fixes it...
as far as the avs goes, maybe there's somethin screwy with my computer setup... it embeds just fine in the 1.6 release... i haven't gotten myself motivated enough to dig into the skin files on the new release to see if there's somethin missin or not

for me doesnt look like the new font is fixing it
i am running XP with and the language settings set to US
(which i really ought to set to Australian)
and i'm getting the Vis issues also.
I'm running the latest winamp, set to the classis skin, and i have AVS set in the option. I've also uninstalled milk drop if this means anytihng.

DJ,
The vis issue is because you're using the latest winamp. Is your visual slightly off center? I had that problem also (with LSVOID 1.6 also). The best solution is to get an older version of winamp. You can try to manipulate the size of the vis and move it into the right position, but it takes a lot of patience. You have to have the winamp program visible to do it.
LS,
I'm still having the italics issue after installing the new font. I'm running Windows XP Home w/ SP2 (US Eng). I'm going to restore my computer back until the italics problem goes away then I'm going to install the new font, and install LSVOID 2. I'll let you know the outcome. Thanks again for the sweet skin. Now I have to decide if I'm going to get a new 4 door jeep to put it in...

there's no need to restore to fix the font problem... open up your font directory (usually c:\windows\fonts) and find the file LSXVOID.TTF, delete it, and then install the new font... you may have to reboot after doing this to make windows reload the system fonts
ls - i noticed the background image in the screenshots you posted for the main menu is different than the one in the released version... is that intentional?

LS - BlueTouchBubble...
LS ---
U always find the kewl widgets - can u tell me what that Blue Bubble shown in your AVI Demo is - not thinking that is just gestures? I like that but would like it even more if it worked without the MouseArrow ---
Just curious if you could advise...
Thanks --

Anyone experiencing problems with ratecheck.exe? Whenever it plays a new song, ratecheck.exe shows up in the system tray with a checkmark next to pause on the tray icon. I have to right click on the tray icon and select exit to continue.
Guess I could just remove the ratecheck from the "ONSONGSTART" in Exectbl.ini... (?)

Another issue I have other than the LSTOOLS.ttf font changing the WINXP Home Arial font to italics is after installing I couldn't get PhoneControl to work. This was also resolved when LSTOOLS.ttf was deleted.
