Delete, FOREVER....I put a whole bunch of music on my HD and I weed out the crappy songs while I'm driving and listening to them.
From what I've heard about the music in your car, Format C: should suffice

I would guess that LS is out of beer to fuel his programming, and can't afford to buy more.

New Convert
LS
I'm a recent convert from John's Digital Transparent 2.0. I needed to be able to configure the buttons the way I want and where I want. I have to say this version is awesome !! I love the the functionality that you've built into it. I have a question though:
Can I disable the "Good Morning / Good Night" thing?
Like everyone else can't wait to see 3.0 !!
Thanks again!

yes, its very easy to disable.
( i think ill put this in the options screens, its about a 50/50 of people who like , dislike it. I even turn it off myself)
Open ExecTBL.ini found inside of the skins folder.
Find and edit this line
"LSONSKINSTART","ratecheck2||RUN;LSTOOLS\welcomeMS G\welcome.exe"
The line will start with LSONSKINSTART, but may or may not be exactly like above. I cant remember if i changed it any. But the format is the same. You want to remove the section at the end of the line where it says to RUN;...\welcome.exe
There is a how to that is step by step in this thread somewhere if you run into any trouble.

Cool...
So, in theory if I wanted to run my own scripts this is where I would put them ? Like run an autohotkey script that sets volume levels and so on...?
The option would be nice but no big deal changing it.
Thanks again

I have 2 questions:
1) Is there any way to let the time count down when playing songs?
2) Where do I have to add "GOTOFIRST||SEARCHLIST" to search the playlist from the start?

I've found that if you tap the counter it will switch form time count up to time count down.
You can probably do it by setting this option in winamp (this is where the skin gets this info from, right?)
Cheers
BJ

Not here. Moreover, when I tap the counter with the viz turned on, it changes the viz.

Change the label (i assume on the main menu, which do not change on tap) to "REMAININGTRACKTIME" with RRSkinEditor..

this is intended.
In the audio player u can see more detailed info on track time etc, as well as clicking the track time to reverse the count down.
On the main menu, clicking the track time and track number on the far left and far right of the screen will change the visuals, if u have them on.
I havnt given a lot of thought to these two items since i put them there ages ago.
I think the track slider is a better indication as to how much of a track is left since its more visual than numbers and available on every screen.
If youre hellbent on changing it though, it will require the skin editor and tab bit of patience as there is not just one main menu screen, but upwards of 11, and the way its setup is not how standard skins are setup. So for example, if you just edit the menu.skin file in the root of the skin folder, its possible to loose your changes by choosing a different menu layout in the skin options from within the skin.
Not a difficult task, just something to be aware of before you start editing

yes, you can run your own scripts by adding commands to that line.
There is also another line that will do the same thing,
ONSKINSTART
this line is a lot more important to the core functions of the skin and absolutely will not function if you screw it up.
an even easier and more global way of running your own scripts or apps at RR launch is to create a command that loads your special tools etc inside of the ExecTBL.ini file that is in the ROOT of your RR install (not the skin). And inside of RRConfig.exe there is a option "Start Command to execute:" put your command here and it will work with any skin you happen to switch to in the future.
