I dont remember ever announcing any date as a release date. Soon is a relative term, and as a Project Manager by trade you should know this.
Further since u mention you get paid to Manage other peoples work, let me remind you this skin and all the scripts/tools provided with it are offered for FREE. You really shouldn't complain about something you get for free, you may not get it at all, at least thats what my mom always told me.

I believe in quality above everything else and if its not at the level of quality im comfortable with, it wont be released until it reaches that level. Period.
If thats too long for you, there are plenty of other skins you can use.
JohnWPB, CDRip and Chuck all make high quality skins, maybe one of those will suit u better.

with that said, after working on the skin all day today, i think ill go outside now.

Geez. Give LSX a break people. As it is now, 2.0 is the BEST, IMHO, skin around.. It functions great and does everything I need it to do and more in its currently stable release. He's always provided timely support and even answers questions that have been answered 50x without getting snotty about it!

I hope everyone donates to his beer fund and when 3.0 is ready, it will be out. LSX has never but a time frame on it and he has been consistent at letting everyone know where he is at. Hes a one man team. Just remember how many big software projects, from video games, to operating systems, miss estimated release dates, or even stated street dates. It happens all the time.

Why people jump one someone that is doing all this for FREE is beyond me.

First time I've seen LS sound even remotely "angry".

As I've always said, take your time, it's done when it's done (but I still want it now!

).

Your work has been incredible so far and your professional attitude and attention to detail will make 3.0 (and soon, Ether) the best RR skin there is.

Even though 2.02 is already the best.

Period.

Looking forward to buying you a beer when 3.0 comes out!

Not sure why I haven't noticed this before or if it's been metioned, but here goes:

I noticed the other day that there is a direction pointer (compass) in the day skin up by the gps speed in the "header". However, it doesn't seem to be there in the night screen.

Is this planned this way or is there perhaps an error/omission in my .ini file?

Would it be possible for the pointer to be replaced with a compass heading (ie: N, S, NW, etc) or even a degree readout (ie: 090, 180, 270, etc)? I have the "flash compass" turned off in my install because I don't like the way it "clutters up" the screen. I just prefer the screen as clean as possible, I'm a less is more kind of guy (no jokes now gents!). If you can't, no big. My car has a built in compass heading in the overhead info centre.

there is an option to turn it on and off in the
click the options button and goto about the 5th page and there will be a button for GPS arrow click it to turn it on and off.

the pointer can be revised. It originally said N,W,E,S etc then i changed it to the arrow i think in 2.0 but i think the letters are better and quicker for the brain to process so they likely will be changed back to letters.

Also if you noticed in the test video, for the lucky ones who had a chance to see it before the bandwidth limit kicked it, the online indicator is also missing (only temp) until i make a new one. The green dot indicator from before just never made since to me, esp since absolutely nothing else in the skin is green. its like a 2sec thing to change so its not a high priority.

right now im going to start writing the documentation for the skin, that should take a few days. Im going on vacation friday for the weekend and wont be back till tuesday.

A new search plugin just popped up that im evaluating and should be rather easy to implement and people should be very happy with how it works.
