i have deleted one whole set of information and the skin still works fine
you have to make sure before you run the install that rr.ini does not have any previous setttings from older versions of the skin as well as if you are reinstalling this version, clear the lsxvoid settings from the rr.ini. If you run it back to back the rr.ini will have duplicate entries.
The next version of RR (i was kind of waiting for before release) will make it so this step is not ever needed again as the settings will be stored in a different file unique to each skin so no need to ever have to worry about it.
but until then...

UPDATES:
ive updated the first post links with
2.01 full version of the skin
fonts installer that automaticly fixes the font italic issue as well as the manual font if you want to fix it yourself using directions in above posts.
the updated 2.01 includes a few small bug fixes, 1 new main menu layout called "clean" only avail for night skin and of course the font fixes.
There will be link to a version that only includes the changes/fixes very shortly so those with the skin already installed no need to redownload the full install again.

Hi LS.
Hails from Athens, Greece.
I just installed yesterday your skin... Fabulous IMHO!
Though i have some questions.
When i am in the audio screen, how can i see the directory structure that i have my mp3s (instead of the ipod like Album - Artist - Genre) ?
And my last one, by clicking the button to change directory, up or down i get the following message
What about the visualization? I see in the previews that it is embedded in the main screen. Though i cannot enable it. Any clues?
Thanx man
Keep up the gooooooooood work

i think u need to install the font fix update in the first post
whats ur MP# directory structured like? and have you updated ur rr.ini COnfig after installing LSXVOID?
LS: I have another issue.. in the day skin the phone popup is all to one corner and the icons don't show, also in the day skin in the phone bit where u type the numbers, the back ground is black and the text is black..
thanks
EDIT: looking it to it a big more.. looks like the call_off.jpg image is wrong in the day version. night seems ok

Hi.
Just installed the skin and the result is that RR loads and hangs on this:

Is that an "invalid Flash installation" problem or what?
LSXVOID1.6 worked great.
Another moment: everything including RR and windows is installed on drive F... may be that is the sticking point...

Does your system tray show an icon associated with the AutoIT scripts? I had a similar problem, and it was corrected by:
1.) installing RR into the default directory of C:\Program Files\Road Runner
2.) installing the LSX Void 2.0 skin into the SKINS folder in RR
Not sure if this helps any... just trying to reduce LS's post count

Yes there are such icons. And the number of them is equal to number of unsuccessful attempts to start RR
So, I think, I'd try installing RR to drive C (partitionmagic will help to enlarge it)...
Thanx for advice. I'm gonna try it in about 10 hours... (it's almost 03.00 in Moscow now )

Microsoft Streets & Trips Skin for LSX Void 2.0
With liquid_smoke's approval, here is my attempt at providing skin(s) for Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006.
The attached zip contains 4 files:
GPS_Streets1.skin
Skin with streets app in the middle, surrounded by the commonly used buttons. By clicking on the 'FS' button in the top, it loads GPS_Streets2.skin.
GPS_Streets2.skin
Skin with streets app larger, covering up the top buttons. By clicking on the 'FS' button in the top, it loads GPS_Streets3.skin.
GPS_Streets3.skin
Skin with streets app filling entire screen except time, song title and 'FS' button. By clicking on the 'FS' button in the top, it loads GPS_Streets1.skin.
GPS_Streets_POPUP.skin
When using Streets1/2/3.skin, clicking on the 'MENU' button will open up this popup screen with a few more additional buttons.
Here are the settings I've added to Exectbl.ini within both the day and night version of the skin:
Quote:
/================================================== ======
/MICROSOFT STREETS & TRIPS START
/================================================== ======
/MICROSOFT STREETS & TRIPS Support

/================================================== ======
/MICROSOFT STREETS & TRIPS END
/================================================== ======
Note: you will also need to edit the line that ties AP03 to GPS4
"AP03","GPS4"
These skins use the existing images in LS latest release of the skin, so no need to add anymore jpg's.
Feel free to customize as you see fit, and a huge kudos to LS again for making such a well laid out and designed skin.

best. skin. ever.
for any program of any kind. Blows the doors off the standard Centrafuse skin, and is so much more....awesome is the only word I can think of...... than any of the other rr skins. I know there are some good ones, but this is just amazing. I'm switching back to rr from cf just so I can run this skin

Flash compass issue
First I would like to say how great a skin this is. I have looked for a frontend for awhile now, and finally saw this one. The design is perfect.
Second Im having an issue with flash compass. See attachment. When the option is off there's a white box, and when its on there's a compass but its not transparent. I get a compass in a blue box. I dont know why this started but it was working fine, but after restarting it started do this.
I have uninstall everything and reinstalled, making sure to remove all folders. Same problem. I also made sure I was running the latest flash player. Any help is greatly appreciated. Again great job.
Thanks
Joe

i really do, it's awesome. It's got a couple of small bugs for me and I'll have to get retrained how to use rr after all this time on CF, but I'm really impressed lsx, I seriously can't think of a better looking skin or frontend for any app.

you need to run RRConfig.exe (found in root of your RR install) and setup your music path directory. And also your playlist path directory (this should be in a folder inside your music library). This will fix both of your issues.
edit: oh, and to turn on the visuals. click the DATE on the main menu and while in the audio player click the button in the same area as where the date would be.

this is related to the version of flash you have installed.
The compas should have a transparent background and when its off it should not show anything.
I think you need flash9 or 8 im not 100% sure on the version i have installed right now. Start with 9 though. Make sure you install flash using IE and not firefox or some other browser. There is also a faq related to flash logo issues etc in the rr faq section. This will give you more tips on what to do ect. All the same issues are related.
