Hi,

I am sure it's only me... But when I press GPS, Iguidance fails to open. It flashes to a blank screen for a second and then returns to the original screen. I do have Iguidance configured in RRconfig and it works ok with DigitalFX. BTW: I have searched this tread, and hope I didn't miss something....

Re: Sirius

The good news is that the Sirius skin works. It doesn't work perfectly but it does work.

The Sat and Ter bars don't work at all. Which isn't really a bid deal.

The play list acts a little funky, which is real issue. It displays album art next to each station. And the art is which ever album is currently in your music play list. The channel listings needs to be modified a little, the names are so long you really can't tell what's on each station. Also it seems when the channels update they go blank, like it's waiting for every channel to update.

could you do me a huge favor and just take a screenshot of sirius in action. I'll probably get rid of the track art for sirius as i wasnt sure that would even work. I know the signal strength bars dont work yet because i need to find out just exactly how those labels work (is it a scale from 0-10 or does it show a range from 0%-100%). They will definitely work by final release. I will also modify channel listings. I'll see what i can do about the update issue as well but that may be a flash limitation. We'll see. Thank you very much for contributing and i'd really appreciate seeing a screenshot if possible.

i dunno what that could be really. can you check your exectbl.ini file located in road runners root folder for a alternative GPS code? I mean mine just uses the GPS command and opens the gps skin like any other skin.

I have a slight problem. I was going to take some screenshots for you this morning until I noticed that my keyboard doesn't have a Print Screen button. Ctrl-Alt-Printscreen is the only way I know of to take a screen shot.

Not a problem, you've got a really nice skin in the works here.

You might be able to pull up the windows OSK: Start>all programs>accessories>accessibility>OSK ----> "PSC"

If you have a full version of XP, it should be there.

Pretty much the same for XM. The skin works, but quirky. My Sat bars are both full red which for where I'm parked means they're probably not working.

Same here with the album art - shows art from mp3 playlist, except the first one which says "art not available". Populating my channel list is just right, but I'm using an XM Commander with 18 character limit vice 32. Channel updates are good, but I did notice after watching closely for a few times that whenever I select a channel from the playlist, that channel goes to the top of the playlist, that line has a red background, the playlist redraws right, then it redraws again only this time - everything goes blank. The favorites button works as expected only half the time, otherwise the playlist just blanks.

The fix for all these issues is to hit the up or down button and the screen then redraws correctly minus the highlight of the currently playing playlist item.

I did notice some peculiarities with the playlist. If I click on a channel in the list, the list refreshes but the playing channel is one channel above whats displayed so I have to hit the up button to see it. There is no highlight for the playing channel. And if playing one of the channels near the bottom of my favorites list the skin fills in the rest of the screens playlist with blank entries.

As a comparison, I switched to CFX-Rework and captured whats there.

I would like to present some of my other findings concerning this beautiful skin if I may. 1. The radio screen is hard to use with the Silabs USB Radio. I am so used to the playlist style channel list, I almost had no idea where to start. I used your presets to create preset buttons, but my radio art wouldn't display. To manually tune, there is no enter and it took me a few minutes to realize once the full channel freq was typed (XXX.XX) it would automatically change to that channel. Unfortunately, freq label doesn't update. Same for seek and scan - once channel is locked onto user has no idea what channel they're on cause freq label is blank.
2. Audio screen progress slider doesn't work completely, i.e., if I click on the far right of the slider the song should jump to near the end, but it doesn't it only goes half way. But if I click near the beginning of the slider it goes to 0:00, so I know that end works. Its probably a scaling issue.
3. I thought the last version had support for the album art plug-in (X, MP3Art), this one doesn't.
4. I usually load specific playlists in audio with 100-300 songs each. Scrolling through the playlist is a PITA without page up/page down buttons. A scroll bar like in the browser would help. As a matter of fact a scroll bar (by channel #) in XM would be cool.

5. I can't get the weather maps to load. I can see the autoit script start but it gets paused somewhere and never finishes.

Hope this helps.

OBTW, I love the skin - lost of clean, professional, beautiful functionality. What really caught my eye was the repeat/shuffle button - just too kewl best eye candy of the whole skin!

I'm definitely going to have to rework both xm and sirius skins once i get the equipment for both. The track art for there lists were basically just a stab in the dark... i can get them to work (i believe) by changing some code but if push comes to shove i'll just remove it altogether. Expect major changes in both of those skins.

There are actually two radio.swf files... radionew.swf is the hd radio skin... radio.swf was planned to be the regular radio. I havent finished the latter but i will. My skin currently uses the radio art folder in the skin file.. but i will fix that as i didnt realize there was a radio art folder in road runners root directory. That will fix the art issue. As for manual tune, the "tune" button serves as the enter button once direct tune has been started. I have no idea why the label wouldnt update after direct tuning though. Does the clear button next to the direct tune frequency dissappear? That indicates the direct tune has been accepted and the label should be updated shortly after that.

definite scaling issue.. I'll take a look.

it should support it... not for the track art though. If you dont see the main album art with using the plugin try adding a "J" line to the skin file. Like J,0,0,0,0

You can hold down the arrows for page down/up. But in all honesty i'd like a scrollbar too. I just dont know how to code it lol. I am looking for a solution for this as well
