Digital Graphite Reloaded

This is a preview. You'll see things not finished or not working. Please, let me know what and where, and feel free for give me suggestions or correct yourself the bugs.
There're a few "new concepts", but Guino must see if they can be implemented. If it's not possible, I'll change the graphics for Digital Graphite 1.0.

Digital Graphite 0.8 - Updated 07/02/06 (DD/MM/YY)
There's a new "window" for the Winamp's spectrum analyzer (it needs manual position adjust), see menu.skin and audio_player.skin and edit them if you don't want it.

RR LCD font - Download and copy it to your \Windows\Fonts directory.

Done:
- Menu
- Audio Player / Audio Browser
- External GPS
- Video Player / Video Browser (not as I want, but they're working)
- Apps (same as above)
- Skin selector
- Exit menu

Incomplete:
- Phone Control
- Equalizer
- Radio
- TV

To Do for v1.0:
- Finish incomplete screens
- Clean not supported "ideas"
- Play/Pause Flash button
- Add a few utilities and "info screens" (weather, system, calculator, clock...)
- Native 800x600 graphics
- Maybe a skin for FreeDrive
- Maybe an OBDII screen (if I can't use it, I'll change the menu button)

Things that I'll not do myself (sorry):
- Skins for MapMonkey, Iguidance, and other GPS frontends
- XM and Sirius satellite radio
- Logos for other brands
- Change text colors

You'll see a "Resources.bmp" inside the zip, use it if you want to do new screens.

Menu

Audio Player

Configuration

External GPS

Exit

Angel, I see you're using ViaMichelin Mapstore for GPS. Do you lose the top menu bar when you embed it, because I can't get it to embed without losing it, which makes it useless as there are no key shortcuts for anything....

Good to see you starting this project up again.

RR will attempt to remove the Border of embbeded applications, but the menu/bars should stay.. in any case, maybe you should try skinbbeder to see if it works better in it.

Thanks Guino and Angel....I'll have to install it again and give it another try. Then decide if I want to use that or MM/Freedrive.

This is a bug on the via GPS application.. use ViaMichelin as your GPS window name and RR will attempt to reset the balance for you.

The red text on the top part of the screen is going to be real hard to read on a sunny day. I had the same thing in my skin, and ended up changing it to LED Green.

Hola Xury, un saludo. As Guino said, RR automatically solves the problem of viamichelin restoring the balance to center.
Meelobee, yes, there're better colours than red for the sun, but it's not bad here because it does contrast enough... and the most important thing, it match the colour of my dashboard. (It's not hard to change it).

I've updated the skin (see first post), the main options (audio, video, external GPS, apps, config) are working and almost complete.

I've been playing with the new command LOADIMG and it works right, but I can't do the exact "effect" that I want:
Player status: STOP -> Main button graphic: PLAY
Player status: PLAY -> Main button graphic: PAUSE
Player status: PAUSE -> Main button graphic: PLAY
I need some help or good ideas.

not bad, but i think the red is a bit too dark to read on the black background. i suggest using a brighter red or a lighter color.

AngelGR, just finding out about this skin. This is just what I am looking for. Will you have a 800x600 version available? Also I was hainv problems in the video section. Is this something you are still working on?

You can simply resize the skin by opening general.ini on the skin's folder and set these lines:

showwidth=800
showheight=600

Then RR will automatically rescale the skin to 800x600..
