LS, just download the new LSTools and I'm having a couple of problems.
When I open iGuidance and go to fullscreen, that button to go back does not work. after clicking it, it disappear and nothing happens. It just to work with the old LSTools. btw, I deleted KEYTBL since u said it wasn't needed.

when I exit navi, skinbedder and IGCONTROL does not close. So I still have the IG menu button in the skin. even after closing RR those two apps still remain open.

also after doing a mouse gesture in the navi screen, when ever you click a button the skin under igudiance show up for a split sec. the longer u hold the button the longer the screen shows.

humm, ill have to test this out on a fresh box. I changed the way the button that takes u back works cus some people were having problems. Not sure what the problems were it was working fine for months in the oldskin. I prob broke it, not sure, it works flawless on my box. Ill test it in the car tomorrow and on another computer thats never seen RR so that should let me know any issues.
One thing you can do for me to test something, go to the normal gps screen(dont go to fullscreen at all), then go to this folder
C:\Program Files\Road Runner\LSTOOLS\SB2.9\iGuidance and run kill.exe
The flyout menu button should be closed after this.
If this dosnet work let me know.

when you exit RR it should shutdown skinbedder if you have it set in rrconfig.exe to close all embeded apps on shutdown. The igcontrol isnt an embeded app so rr will not automaticly close this, thats what the kill.exe file is ment to do.

ill take some more closer looks at everything related to this issue and resolve it tomorrow.

Is anyone else having any issues with the latest ver of LSTOOLS and gps? If you had issues before are they fixed with the latest, and if you didnt have any issues do you have problems now?

also can u add something that differentiates the end of the volume bar and the begining of the track bar?

well the track bar is all green and the volume is not, i dont think its hard to tell them apart. They are split right down the middle of the screen also. I played with some other ideas of this before release but didnt like how any of them looked. I want to redesign the sliders to be honest, but its too much work for just a slider, u have to save out like 20 files, gives me a headache.

as far as a scroll bar for the playlist, not sure thats gonna happen. I understand ur problem though, i too sometimes load the entire playlist but not often. The problem i found when loading the entire playlist and trying to scroll through them its extremely hard to get to where u want to go with a huge list because small movements in the scroll will jump 20-30-50 songs

you know if you click and hold the up and down buttons they will scroll faster so you dont have to keep clicking over and over.

Hi LS,i'only just updated to the new version of RR and now i'm having album art problems (i've never had album art problems) but its not the skin,it was working ok until this morning.
The problem i get now is in the audio browser (similar to Picture 2 on page 1 of this thread)
Half of my album cover has gone missing!!,...Any ideas...it should be easy,its only half a problem.lol

I will add that the art is ok on all other screens.

this is a bug with the current version of RR, for some reason it seems to only happen to some people as all my album art still shows up. You can read up on it in the bug forum here http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-bug-tracker/76142-highlighted-dirs-only-show-few-chars-album-art-still-borked.html

ALSO A NOTE TO EVERYONE:

not sure if everyone using this skin knows or not, but you have to use the version of skinbedder that is included with the skin. So if you were using a different version of skinbedder or its located elsewhere, you need to make sure in rrconfig that your gps is pointed to skinbedder located in this dir
C:\Program Files\Road Runner\LSTOOLS\SB2.9
not sure if this has anything to do with the people who are having gps probs.

IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING ANY ISSUES WITH GPS, fullscreen button, exiting the fullscreen, PLEASE SPEAK UP so i can isolate the issue.

I'd heard it had a few probs with art due to changes,funny thing is though it doesn't affect all my skins.Album art is working ok in Bmv2,odd.
I only updated to test CDR's new skin,between the 2 of you the RR interface is makin massive strides....Any chance of a future collaberation.

I just did the base RR upgrade from 1-1-2006 version to the 5-2-2006 version and im happy to say that all my issues have gone away! You def. were not lying when you said it needs the newest version. The only thing that still does not work is the full screen GPS speed slider.

The red arrow is now there at least! It still does not scroll though. I must be overlooking something. Im going to dig around some more in the LSTOOLS and def. try out that patched iGuidance .exe. Maybe thats why the speed slider is not working?? As far as I know im running the newest version of flash on my carPC because I can use skins with spinning logos with no problem. Anyway just wanted to let you know that im about 95% configured. Thank you for such a great release, but even more thanks to the time you take to respond to all our wonders, requests, and confusions.

LS are you saying that when we run RR config under where it asks for GPS path we should put C:\Program Files\Road Runner\LSTOOLS\SB2.9 instead of the regular inav directory?

Also are you controling the day night mode of IG to just make it night mode all the time? In other words no matter the time of day IG will always show up with night mode?

No i think he means cut and paste the exe over your original in the original directory. (back up the original first though).

are you using a com port splitter? This is also needed because RR makes a connection directly to your GPS device for speed, heading etc. along with iG and since they both cant be connected at the same time you will need to split the com port. Do a search for XPORT on this site and you'll find the port splitter that pretty much everyone is using. Once you get xport running, and have 2 ports that are spitting out gps data, set iG to use one and set RR to use the other one, in RRConfig.exe (or Config button in skin). Also, when you set up the GPS in RRConfig, you DO NOT set it as external, set it to MapPoint, then point the dir to skinbedder inside LSTOOLS.

are you having any issues with fullscreen mode?

it works fine for me too, i havent tried out any new skins though. Can u send me a screenshot of this, id like to know what it looks like.
also, one thing i think a lot of people may or may not be overlooking. I dont know if this changed in any of the previous rr releases, since album art has allways worked fine for me. But you need to set/change the dir where your music lib is located for the skin that displays the album art.
For example, in my skin the album art mode screen file name is audio_browser2.skin
if you open the skin in RRSkinEditor and go to this screen, on the left side pane you'll see the letters SD, if you double click you'll see a path C:\My Music, change this to the dir where your music is located.

Again, not sure if everyone knows to do this, it is kind of an odd way to set it up, but if i remove the path i see no album art.

as far as a colabo, i have no idea.
