I knowthat, * I* was being sarcastic though, as I wanted to have this update out already, but the last little bit of code has holding me up! Oh, and the instructions to test the gauges are in a readme in the zip file.

is "Load Playlist" function fixed yet ? Maybe you can just add a way to define a directory where all the m3u files are.

Delays, Problems and a bit of a Rant...

The Load Playlist has been fixed about 2 versions ago. Download the latest in the first post.
Ok, there is another delay.... this is starting to drive me absolutely crazy....
WARNING: Rant and a bit of frustration follows:
I was having trouble with the OSKTOCMD variable and I could not get it to work correctly. I PM'd Guino, he replied that the OSTOCMD cant be used with all the commands on a button that I was using and I would have to split the command in 2 sections, one on the button, and the other in the ExecTbl.ini. I did that and still it would not work. I told this to Guino, and he said the code looked fine to him and that it should work, I PM'd again, and told him for some reason it is not working. He checked into it, and found that it was a problem in the RR code itself. He fixed it, and put up a new RR version. When I tried it, the first part of the command did indeed work! Yea! I can finish this now!!! BUT now the 2nd part (That was the part that worked in the first place) no longer works! I PM'd Guino again (I HATE bothering him so much!), and Ill just have to wait and see the outcome.
The bottom line is I am trying to add some serious functionality for playlist management. A new screen will allow you to save the current playlist, Add the current playlist to en existing one, renaming, deleting, creating new playlist ect. All of these will have a confirmation window that it was actually done, that will pop-up for 2 seconds and disappear.
The reason for wanting to add a playlist to another playlist is simple. I have a Favorite songs playlist. I now and then will search and make an on the fly playlist of more favorite songs, I then want to add ALL of those songs to the favorites, not just a single song. There are no commands to do this directly. Right now if you select a playlist from the list, and save to it, it REPLACES that playlist, so I am finagling the code and using "tricks" to make it work. The problem is the actual RR commands to do this are just not working the way they should.
Hopefully this will all be resolved soon, and I can complete this.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you trying to run iG in Demo mode, then check the new GPS gauges to see what they are doing? The GPS Gauges are totally separate from iGuidance. When iGuidance is in demo mode, it is just for itself and does not output any GPS information to Road Runner or any other program.

Not a problem, When someone gets that chance that's fine. I may have to solution for the Play list code, so that will give me something to work on in the mean time.

John,
do the pictures button work for Blue Devil? If so, how do i set it up in COnfig? I don't see a pictures folder option.....
hey, take it easy, there is no DEAD line you have to meet in doing this. Currently, i'm happy with what i got and i'm enjoying it a lot. so thank you.
And as for completion, i'm sure i speak for the rest of us when i say it could wait.

I didn't realize, till you mentioned it how to set it up was not in the ReadMe.txt file! Thanks for pointing that out. I have put the instructions in the readme now. I have also included the application with all the correct settings for the Blue Devil skin, except for the path to your pictures. Instructions are now in the read me on how to change the path.

I really like this skin, thanks for all the hard work.
One request though, could you add the Mappoint "NIGHTMODE" command to one of the Mappoint menus? I have temporarily substituted that command in place of the "CENTER" command in the MAPPOINT_MENU_VIEW skin since that command is also in another menu and rarely used, but it would be nice to have that in the graphics as well.
Thanks,
Z

I will try to add that here in the near future. I have a couple other things to finish up first though.
In the mean time the latest version has been posted in the first thread. It has the new weather screen, and better playlist support. Read the first post for more information.
Here is a screen cap of the new Weather Screen. The buttons at the top are customizable, by clicking and HOLDING them. It will pop-up the OSK and ask for a city name to save to the button. If there are more than one city with that name, you can type "Miami FL" for instance. Putting "Miami" alone comes up with Miami AZ!
Let me know if this is working ok for you guys, it is the first time I have used definable buttons in this skin. Many thanks to Chuck for helping me with this code!!

Click on the image above to see screen captures of ALL the Blue Devil skin.

Hey just so you know if you click "Load Playlist" the delete button is misspelled, it says "Dlete" he-he.
I love the new weather functionality, but i only have 3 spots.. so i gotta come up with 2 more spots so it looks good
I will test out the functionality on the new playlist after i am done watching CSI

So i just got done playing with the new features. some things to note, you have to set your playlist path in RR Config. or it wont work. i thought it was broken until i came across that setting.
It is hot i love the new playlist settings. a question i have is the + album, the red + what does that button do, its been there for a while but never used it.
keep up the good work.
