You know another thing that might look nice is a splash screen upon startup. Some of the other skins have it and it only takes 1 jpg and a short skin file. It completes the custom look for roadrunner.

Just a heads up, You might want to update your install script and change lines that state "C:\windows\ To something that references "%windir%
It wouldn't install for me because I dont have a C:\windows folder.

John, it also looks like you've included two sets of weather icons in your download file. One set is in the "Weather" folder and the other is in a weather zip file. They look like the same icons to me. You may want to eliminate the zip to avoid confusion (and reduce the size of the download) and change your manual install instructions to say to copy the weather folder to the RR folder.

Kbreeden: they are not the same icons, but the new hotness icons that we (john and I) were working on getting to work with BD, they are pretty hot, the only downside is that they have a blue background so they wont look nice on other skins, but for BD they match perfectly. The read me says to backup the original on in the weather folder if you are going to use the new Hotness icons. i would recommend that.
John: I freaking love the new menu, its pretty hot, did the code that "I" got for you work out well? the buttons do not look squished anymore so i think its good to go, very nice!!

Deleting the video.in fixed the problem with the internal video player freezing - thanks for that.
When I use the video browser however, it shows the directory structure of c:/DVD where my vids are stored but doesn't show the name - just a file icon and 01 for both files. If I select either of them then the correct vid plays and if I add another vid to the folder then another icon with 01 appears.
Ideas?
Thanks loads for all your hard work - it's an awesome skin.

It sounds like there is a SD line in your exectbl.ini file in the root of the road runner dir. The SD definition can be used to customize the way a directory looks, sort order, icons -vs-text ect ect....

Yes, I believe RRconfig is correct and this is what I see. I have specified mpg and avi in RRconfig and there is 1 avi and 1 mpg in the folder

okay that is just weird... did you see what john said about SD. that is the only thing we were able to come up with. What are your files named? as in do they have "." or "-" or something like that.. and any chance that they both contain a "01"?

OK, that's it - they are called
Glory_Road-01.avi
The Simpsons 10.9.06-01.mpg
I guess it can't handle those types of filenames which is not a problem with vids but will be with audio files
It's the - it can't handle and it also doesn't capitalize the first letter of the second word so
Glory_Road.avi is shown as Glory road
There is no SD line in exectbl.ini - how does that work (is it in the docs?) and would that help in this instance?

Directory listings
Hmmm let me look into this a bit, and see if I cant make a custom directory listing or something with the SD command. I will post back my findings.

Problem Solved!
Ok, by just snooping around a bit, I found the culprit! I am not sure exactly what it is for, but in the RRConfig, go to the "Music" section. Look for:
Titles After (Character/Text): and remove the - (Hyphen) from the dialog box, and save.
I just did this and the video's now show up with the full & correct name.
I also loaded the music browser, and this does not seem to affect that in any way. I am not really sure what setting is for, but removing the - from in there seems to have solved the problem.
