It's strange that Google has traffic on their mobile maps ( http://www.google.com/gmm), but not on regular Google Maps.

Also, I never used Goops, and did not realize all the added features and stuff! I will definately be looking into this down the road.

Hi, I've searched the forum and havn't found many topics on this. I want to use MS Streets and Trips for now (until I can afford to buy IGuidance) and was wondering how to set it up to work with blue devil. I removed "gps","gps" and in its place put "LOAD;streetstrips.skin" and in rrconfig set it to external, and "d:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets and Trips\Streets.exe" for the Program location. I set the window title twice, first to "Microsoft Streets and Trips" and 2nd to "Map - Microsoft Streets and Trips". What am I doing wrong? It loads the skin, but not MS S&T. Just a blank blue screen. I believe that RoadRunner doesn't know I'm trying to load GPS therefore it just loads a blank skin with no program. It doesn't know what to do with the skin it seems. I've also tried one other thing I found in another post: I changed the gps line in menu.skin to this: B06,398,220,398,89,"LOAD;STREETSTRIPS.SKIN;Streets ;D:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets and Trips\Streets.exe;Microsoft Streets & Trips","Streets"

Streets & Trips
I don't use S&T, but I have a copy that came with my GPS receiver. I will install it later today, and see if I can't figure it out.

Streets & Trips
Ok, I just installed S&T, and got it working here. There is not need to set anything in RRConfig, as all the commands and window names ect, is in the button code.
Change your button code for the menu.skin GPS button to:
Code:
"LOAD;STREETSTRIPS.SKIN||RUN;D:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\Streets.exe;Map - Microsoft Streets & Trips"
I just did this here, and it is working well, as well as the buttons on the skin for zooming ect.
Here is a screen cap of it in the skin:

Here's a Zipped files of MY MS Streets.
Setup RR for external GPS and then in the main menu address the Button as "GPS". There's a screen capture of the RR config setup for GPS and streets. The skin files are somewhat close to John's just revamped a little and added GasPrice finder to the skin and also have a keyboard button using MS XP osk for input do as you wish.
The execTBL.ini file in the Blue Devil skin folder.
THis changes the External GPS to call Streets.
John you might want to add these for your Streets, but tell the user that the external GPS skin is actually the MS_Streets skin..

John,
I've tried everything that is mentioned on this FAQ but my problem with flash is still there. As long as I keep the two lines of swft out of the skin, everything works fine but as soon as put swf line back in menu.skn and menu2.skin CPU usages goes up to 100%
I made it look a little better by changing the lines that call swf files to bdlogo.png. Even though it does not look as good as the one with clock but atleast now I don't have an empty box in the middle of screen

Streets & Trips & Flash
So, wfs1, do you have S&T working now correctly? You didn't mention that.
Ajamis, I know what you are going through! I had a similar problem with my dev machine and flash. It was driving me crazy! I downloaded flash from the flas site with IE, I followed the FAQ, and looked for older version of flash ,anf just kept plugging away on it and finally resolved it somehow.

Yes John, Streets works as well as you can expect from a MS product. Still working on auto GPS start and to set a default larger font size (other than the micro font used), an embedded larger keyboard.
I went the route of setting RR config and ExecTBL.ini to external GPS.
What I'm working on now with WinInspector, is when you setup a Map file and save it, then call that map file along with MS Streets. That should give you a default map type, font. etc.

Ok, I wasn't sure, as you said you tried everything to get it to work , I dug out the S&T disks here, and installed it to give you the commands needed to get it working and all. Seems like you got it working on your own though

Blue Devil Wish List
John,
Earlier in this thread you asked users to give suggestions about future features so I'm going to accomodate that request. Here are two features that would be really neat IMHO. Mind you, I have no idea how to code or how RR and the skin are designed, so I therefore have no idea how difficult it would be to implement these.
1. Utilize Winamp "Jump To" Command: I have often wondered why searching for songs is so awkward in RoadRunner in light of the powerful "Jump To" feature available in Winamp. In Winamp you can initiate the command, type all or part of the artist, song name or a combination of the two and all the songs in the current playlist that match the criteria appear in a box. You can then simply select the version of the song you want. For example, I could type Bea Octopus, and all my versions of Octopus's Garden by the Beatles in the open playlist would appear. I could then select the one I want to listen to. This is really very quick, easy and powerful. Any reason why the "jump to" feature couldn't be included in RR/BD?
2. Click Album Cover to Load Album: My main playlist includes about 20,000 songs, which I usually play randomly. Often when a song comes up I'll see the album cover and think that I'd really like to hear that whole album. To hear the album I have to go into browser, find the album and then load it, which is time consuming and awkward while driving. Would it be possible to have the entire album load into the playlist simply by clicking the album cover? Since the album cover is a jpg in the folder in which the songs are located, it seems like a command could be included that loads into the playlist all the music files that are in the same folder as the album cover.

Toggle Names Button?
Can anybody tell me what the "Toggle Names" button does? It doesn't seem to do anything when I click it. I've looked through this thread and the help file and didn't see anything on it. Thanks.

what the toggle names does is, rotates the format of file name to
1). Track
2). Track-Asrtist
3). File name
It may not be in that order. or exactly that but that is what it does in my experience. does not work with *.m4a
