I did a quickie mod to the MAPPOINT_MENU_VIEW skin so I had a place to toggle MapPoint's Night Mode. If you could add one more button to that skin for that function it would be terrific, if not then maybe I could get the PSD from you for that skin so I could add it.
Thanks, Z

MS STREETS RR Setup, etc.
Okay for MS Streets as an external GPS (note make sure external GPS is checked in RR.ini file)..
Make a button call it "GPS" to call from various skins...
OPTION 1:
You can add the line below in the ExecTBL.ini file either in the RR folder or the skin folder depending if you want it in all skins or only one skin..
NOTE!! after the semi-colon of Streets.exe MAKE SURE to have a space before and after the hypen of - Microsoft Streets & Trips..
"GPS","LOAD;EXTERNAL_GPS.SKIN;STREETS;C:\Progr am Files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\Streets.exe; - Microsoft Streets & Trips"
OPTION 2:
add to the RR.ini file (Note see the screen capture "rr_config_streets.jpg" inside the zipped file posted earlier).
The later option works, if speech is enable it says "external gps"... the first option says "Streets"...
I preferred option #1
Now I tried to find the focus of the window when I saved templates and then trying to load them again but something with the hypen and space wouldn't load competely/correctly.
Like: "map1 - Microsoft Streets & Trips" or "map1.stt - Microsoft Streets & Trips" which in the later, wininpector show as the active window under the called template. Still No luck.
So what I did was to setup a running instance of MS streets, changing the map type, font size, zoom level, route options " like gas mileage, etc and then saved it under "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\Templates" as "New North American Map.stt". Or wherever your MS Streets is installed to. This then became my default map for Streets.
This works on two different PCs..
Last thing to do is to auto-start GPS probably an AutoIt script of sometype..
Hope this helps someone in the future as I went through this throughly..
Note: My Street skin has changes in some of the command buttons instead of ALT+ in the sendkeys I used CONTROL+ as this embedded and had less flashing (popups) inside the skin. Not all buttons have a CONTROL+ function key available or Microsoft didn't show them in the help files..

It may not be in that order. or exactly that but that is what it does in my experience. does not work with *.m4a
Thanks, Sangre. I now see what's going on. For me, pressing the toggle button does nothing to the current playlist; however, when I load a new playlist the names in the new playlist are toggled. I thought it would impact the existing playlist, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Also Sangre/John, since we're (I'm) on the subject of wish lists it would really be neat if there were some way to randomize the current playlist. I would love to be able to load my 20,000 song list, hit a button to sort it into random order, then turn off random play. That way, the list would be playing in random order, but I could see what songs are coming up next. B8bboi's CFX skin had that functionality and I really became addicted to it. Perhaps an extra click or a hold down of the toggle button could send a command to randomly sort the list.

I had the same problem as you. I did a clean install of RR and BD, downloaded the current version of VBRuntime and messed around with the volume settings of Iguidance and RR and all of a sudden it's working perfectly. I wish I could tell you what did it, but I don't know.

some suggestions for people having issues with the switch.
make sure RR doesnt do all volume.. just master volume. and as a test set main to 100 and wave to 50. and see how that works.

New Visulization
Ok, I have been working on adding a nicer visualization to the skin. I found a nice spectrum analyzer, and want to know what you guys think. It is semi transparent, and you can see the album art underneath it.
It's a few steps to configure, but would be covered in detail in the help file. SangreDeThor was nice enough to beta test it for me, and he got it working. I also want to thank Liquid Smoke for helping me out with this! We were IM'ing back and forth for a few hours working on issues with his skin and mine. Without his help this would not have come to be.
Let me know if this is something that I should include in the skin or not.
Here is a screen cap:

John,
I think it would be great as an option. I can see that there will be some times I'll want the viz with the album art and sometimes just the album art.

Not at all! I am grateful for the help, and will even include it in the help file, so that it may help someone else in the future.

New version is up and ready for download
Ok the update has been posted, check the link in the first post.
IMPORTANT! The Spectrum analyzer on the audio screen takes a bit to setup, and requires version 5.13 of Winamp. (Link to the file and FULL instructions are in the help file) The Latest version of Winamp will NOT work correctly with Road Runner, so make sure to get Version 5.13. This goes against everything I have heard about using version 2.95 with Road Runner, but it is working well here, and was working for SangreDeThor as well when he tested it. This is also the version that LiquidSmoke requires for his skin. Speaking of LiquidSmoke, MANY thanks to him for helping me through some of the hurdles to get this visualization working properly!
Again, READ THE HELP FILE on how to set this up. It is the top item under "How do I...."
If after reading the help file, there are still issues, post them here so I can either correct or alter the instructions to make it clearer.
