I'll save John a post on this one. Yes, it will always go to that screen first.

Flash issues revisited

Gonna keep trouble shooting to see if I can find the cause. BTW, my test pc is only 800mhz and my car pc is 2.4 P4. Not sure if that is causeing it, but I did not have trouble with previous releases of this skin.
I got to thinking about this, one way to narrow it down, is to run the task manager, go to performance and move it to the side where you can see the CPU percentage (Unless you have a CPU widget on the desktop of course ) and then hit the button to go to the 2nd menu. If it peaks at 100%, then it is probably flash related. I am starting to regret having ANY flash in the skin, as it is just such a pain the the butt on so many systems. It took me around 4 installs of flash, renaming stuff, and searching the forums and googling to get the flash issues resolved on my CarPC.

I finally gave up on flash . It seemed to work for sometime but as soon as I went to the second menu...everything just freezes. I tried many different things but nothing seemed to work. I came across another interesting problem...and that is, if I play around with OCX (flash) files too much....RR stops working (ya...I know its strange) and nothing but a new install of Winamp would fix it. What happens is that RR just stop responding on the splash screen (where it says "Loading Winamp"). Flash is just too much trouble. I guess, i'm better off without the clock .
Another thing, I got the visualization working but its not an analyzer. What I'm getting is checkered screen which changes colors and moves around......

i dont get whats with all the flash issues people have.. flash works well, i think its cuz of using old versions and "hacking" it to use old versions and what not... just use the newest version.. its what i do.

I can't get Gas mapping to work for the life of me. When I click map-it it goes back to iG3, then I get the hour glass for about 5-seconds, then iG's main menu is brought up. That's all it does. Any clue?

John, Got the VIS to work just fine on the car pc. Thanks to you and the others for spending the time to work that addition in.
My test maching pegs 100% on the 2nd menu, while my car pc runs up to about 37% then falls back to 2% after the page switch. I might do a fresh install of the OS and RR and the skin to get a grip on things on my test machine.
If you're like me, you have many versions, skins and other things installed. Something could easily be overlooked creating the conflict.
In any event, many thanks to all that do this great work. I love it no matter how it works. Give me something to tinker with after a tough day at work...uggg

Volsfan,
So hod did you get it to work? Did you do anything that's not stated in the FAQ?

@ flash/video problems?
Have you tried lowering the Hardware acceleration in the video by "one" notch?
In the display properties under troubleshooting is where the option is.

New Visulization settings
Well if it's not one thing it's another... it will be a few days at least before I can do any testing on the car computer. My engine seized up in my car, and I just got back from towing it to the mechanic. I will know more about it hopefully by tomorrow night after they get a chance to look at it.
On another note, if you are trying to get the new visualization working, after following all the steps in the help file, in the configuration for the visualization, go to the file menu, and load the preset in the in the AVS/Blue Devil folder. then close the configuration screen then Winamp. This sets it to the last visualization used, and will then appear when you start Road Runner. The key is to get it working in Winamp outside of Road Runner correctly.
I have updated this in the help file, and will have this info in the next release.

Bummer. Unfortunately, the news can only be bad when your engine seizes. You seem to have some bad luck with cars.

Man it sure seems that way!!!!! This is the car I bought when the last one was stolen! hahahha I have say I have not had a bit of problem with this one till now. The problem is I have a years worth of car payments left on this one, so I HAVE to fix it. If I just get another car, I will have 2 car payments for the next year! Kinda of a catch 22.
