Ok, been narrowing it down, and I think it's starting to look pretty good. I added a bit of an effect to the buttons, to make them a little darker than the background, to add some texture to the look. I will tweak it probably just a bit more, and re-do the buttons at the bottom and can then begin on making the other 180 images.

i can't say that i speak for everyone but we all know where credit is due for this skin. so why don't you release the PSD and let us make the colors the way we would like them, rather you changing all 180 files. just my 2 cents.

I intend to do this, but the current PSD's for the Blue Devil skin are a mess for one, and on the other hand, the colors can not be changed very easily. The buttons, backgrounds, bars ect ect are solid colors.

My intent is to create a new set of images with the Blue Devil skin code backbone. This new skin will be VERY easy to change the colors.

Here is an example, based on SteveC's post above. This is the SAME PSD as the Red and Blue ones I posted 4 posts back. Just instead of a solid color background, I pasted this "Steel texture" into the PSD.

I just created this Brushed steel background and simply pasted it into the current skin PSD I am working on. NOTHING ELSE was altered in any way. As you can see the entire skin takes on the color, texture and appearance of the background. This is why I am trying to get the look and feel down, so I can complete the new skin, and then offer the PSD's for people to alter them in any way that they wish to.

Hi,
firstly, thanks for the fantastic skin, its great.

However, the mitsubishi logo does not show up in the centre and neither does a clock, all there is is a blue sircle with circles going around the outside, and a purple panel with compass directions at the bottom. ive reinstalled it three times.

any ideas?
