John,
When you duplicate the transparent button and display both the original and copy (aligned over each other), it makes a really cool effect. I am using this for my "DOWN" skin.

amazing. sometimes the best ideas arrive from people who don't know what they're doing or simply stumble onto something good.

Thanks for the .psd and the info, Photoshop is still a learning experience for me as well! There is just SO much you can do with it!

I am sorry, but I do not know anything about Auto Route, as I have never used it. I would try posting your question in the main forum, as you will probably get more and better responses there. I wish I could have helped you more.

I love the skin. I finally got my computer installed in the car and just loaded your skin. However, I noticed that it seems to run a bit slow. Sometimes the program "lags". It seems like it is locked up, but then it will catch up based on what buttons I pressed. In a few other instances it locked up completely.
I am pretty sure this is a CPU issue on my end. But I was wondering if there is anything I can do to optimize the PC to minimize any lag time that I am experiencing when using your skin. Oh yeah, I am running a VIA M10000 w/512 of memory if that helps.
Also, I know you are trying different color schemes now. I have a color request. I like how the original screen uses the base color of blue that fades to black on the buttons, etc. How dificult would it be to create a color scheme that uses amber in the same way you use blue (I am trying to match the color scheme of my car).

Hello JohnWPB,
Any change to create :
Found that the MPH in the main menu('s) is coming from the GPS-HUDCompass.swf file.
Can You make an GPS-HUDCompass-KPH.swf with KPH (for MPH) and m (for ft) in it?
Thanks.

I have this same issue. Cant figure out if it is a RR or Skin issue though. Many times I have to reboot/hibernate to fix it.

It has to do something with the clock swf. When you remove it from the skin file, it's running fine.
I tryed also already to download a newer version of the adobe flash player but this didn't help.
So same problem here.

Seems these HTML help files dont work on my computer, for some reason.

Getting Close!
Ok, I have been tinkering away with all sorts of levels of transparency, highlighting, borders and the like. I think I am pretty close to having the look I want completed.
Without going any further, I would SINCERELY like to thank jeffreyd_tx for his help! I don't know how much you know about Photoshop, there is always more to learn! He was kind enough to walk me through some examples and get the look that I was trying to get in the first place, that I couldn't seem to figure out on my own. THANK YOU!
Ok, here are three variations of colors. If you do not like the colors, thats the beauty! It is very simple to change the color to something that you do like, by simply replacing the background color.
PLEASE ignore the clock in the center, as I now have to tinker with that to come up with either some levels of transparency, or at least a neutral color combination that will work with all the different colors.
As always, please let me know what you guys think!
Here's one keeping with the "Blue Devil Style"
An Orange one...well technically.... it's "After Digital Orange"
And lastly, some sort of shade of teal:
Again, PLEASE ignore the clock and compass, as they have not been updated yet.....
.

Woah! I am sorry! I totally missed your question / problem on the previous page. I am glad you did get it working. What was the problem in case I hear of this happening again.
Again, sorry for the oversight, and welcome to the forums!!!
