That After Digital Orange rocks! It will match my S2000 dash almost perfectly!!! Can't wait till it's done. BTW: I am going to make a donation right now as my thanks for this great skin! Not a huge donation, but it's all I can afford this time of year.

Red Test
WoW! My car is red, but all the gauges, radio, interior lights ect is blue So I can't really use this, but man I have to say the red looks HOT!
I have about 25% of the screens re-skinned, and steadily plugging away, man this is monotonous to say the least!
Here's a sample of the red:

Hehehe I was just demonstrating that the buttons, text box area's are simple a level of transparency.
The easiest way to describe it is to think of a clear transparency sheet for an overhead projector. if you draw on that sheet, in a semi transparent color you can see through the drawing. Now lay that sheet on a red surface, and the buttons or whatever you drew on the transparency will have a red background. Pick it up again, and lay it over a photo, such as the image above and you can see the car in the background.
So in all of the screen shots I have posted, all that has changed is the background color, texture or image. You are just seeing the background through the buttons and text area's ect.
So, when all is said and done, and I have completed the PSD's, anyone can then paint whatever color they want for the background or copy and paste an image, use a textured background ect to customize the look of the skin.

Thats ok, the red will get plenty of use in my ride.

John,
I'm hoping you could create a Hyundai logo for your skin. I've sent some bribe money your way.
Thanks,
Jarred

Well, like everybody else has siad, the skin evolution is really looking good. I am especially feeling that After Digital Orange since it looks like it will match the Amber of my interior (BMW M3). Now if I can just get this high CPU usage under control so the skin will operate smoothly......
BTW, is there any way to disable the clock and just have the logo in the center? Also, I noticed that when I have GPS set up to use your compass on the main screen and in the GPS stats window, I lose GPS input to my nav software (iGuidance). Even if I reassign the com port in IG I still can't regain GPS input. Is that a skin issue or a RR issue?

You can take the BMW logo .PNG file, and simply paint the color of the center of the skin around it. Then it's just a matter of editing the skin file to replace the SWF with an image. Shouldn't be too hard. If you need some help, just let me know.

Yeah, I think I will take you up on that help. Any extra guidance is appreciated. I am still having a high CPU usage issue so disabling the clock should help some. What about the GPS input issue, has anybody ever seen this before?

PM me your email address.
As for the GPS issues, check the Blue Devil help file under "How Do I.... Use more than one GPS Device". and that should help you fix that problem

Final Touches
Ok, I am done tweaking the transparencies and all. I am in the process of converting all of the Blue Devil skin over to the new look
With the new transparencies, and layer styles, it is VERY easy to change the entire look and feel of the skin.
Here are the latest images of what it's going to look like. For the following images, I have 3 different background color layers, all I am doing is turning what one on to change the skin to that color. In the one photo below, I used a texture to demonstrate that not only solid colors can be used.
Deep Water Blue:
Digital Copper:
Steel Denim:
