Hey John,

Anyway we can add another skin to DigitalFX?
I want to add a traffic rss feed skin to it:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...ht=traffic+rss
Didnt had much luck with it, the sample skin that it came with, doesnt seem to have Exit or return buttons.
Maybe you can tell me how to do this? or add this to the next release?
Skin that it has looks preety good. Would like the 'Total' option if possible.

Also, is it possible to rearrange the buttons from second menu to first. I wanted Music, Radio, Video, DVD, GPS, GPS Stat, Phone, and Utilites on the first menu?
It would be nice if we can set the city we'r in from the City Picker screen, and if any feed comes in, (feed is empty if nothing is to report), it can scroll the feed somewhere on main screen and GPS screen.

Thanks

I am not not sure if its just me, but everytime i click on 'GAS' and click on 'Map it" it pulls up the IG 3.0 menu, instead of mapping it?
Is that normal behavior?
Isnt it suppose to set up the Guidence to that location?

the gas/map it button hasent worked for me for awhile, just never was bothered by it to care. It's more than likely a problem in igscripts

There's no way he can make everyone happy with the location of the menu buttons. I'm assuming he'll eventually make the PSDs for the skins available for download. With the PSD and a copy of Photoshop it's very easy to move buttons around.

Ok, then who were you asking?, now I am confused

BTW, I appreciate, and have no problems with people answering questions in this thread if someone knows the answer, it save me a bit of time, so I am all for it

He is right in the fact that EVERY single person using ANY skin will want buttons in one place or another, I have done what I can to give as logical of a layout as possible. There is just no way that I can create a custom menu for each person. It's just a matter of time really. For each menu change, it involves changing the the PSD files, and then saving them out in on,off, down for each of the 2 menu's and doing that again for the Digital Clock menu variation, as well as for the new digital clock / compass Variation in the next release. That makes a total of 18 images to create just for a simple menu rearrangement. I wish I could do it, but there is just no way....

As for the Map It buttons on the gas screen, I am not sure what the problem can be. I am using it here, and it is working well for me. I will look and see if I failed to copy a needed file or something with the installer.

EDIT: You also have to Res-Hack iGuidance to work with the plugin. You have to add in the "coordinates hack" to iGuidance that was taken out when 3.0 came out. Check the THIS THREAD for the rar, with the instructions for reshacking iGuidance to work with it. This is MY fault, as I forgot to put that in the help file, it has been added for the next release. Sorry about that! Optionally, you can use the iGuidance Patch I created, available for download HERE Just rename your current iGuidance version, and pop the new one in the directory, and test it then to see if it is working for you.

The Traffic plugin is something I have also been wanting to add, I just have about 3 other things ahead of it right now There is no way to pull the City from iGuidance right now for the traffic. It would not do much good actually, as not that many cities are available with the plugin.

Yea, I completely forgot about that step. Editing the menu 1 & 2 skins, for the 3 variations as well.....

Just to add in, I could care less where the 'buttons' are on the menu, so long as they work.

John,

I could not get the installer to work for the BM skin. I get a file not found error. The installer worked fine for the original Blue Devil skin, and even the Beta Digital FX Blue skin. Is there something I am missing?

Yeah, nothing like a newb coming in and wasting John's time by asking for a custom setup and then showing a bunch of attitude when someone nicely explains that it can't be done. Hey Newb, John's working on a bunch of stuff that will benefit the forum as a whole and can't be wasting time on custom setups for people. Of course, maybe you could send him a large donation and then ask again.

It is just me, nothing you are doing wrong I am trying to keep track of all the different skins, images, installers and stuff is slipping through the cracks. I changed everything in the installer to use dynamic path's so HOPEFULLY that will fix it.

I had the same problem, but after installing the Blue skin, I copied the BM skin folder to RR/skin/ folder, and BM works.
