Today I took a road trip and found some bugs or problems with my 2.5 that I hope will be worked out later.
I was sitting in a parking lot, and I was messing with the skins. I changed it a few times and then went back to my default Brushed Metal.
After that, my clock was set to a 24 hour clock and I cant stand a 24 hour clock.
I closed RR and went to the config and it was as it should be. The only way I could solve it was to set it to Long Time. I think before I had it set to short time and it gave the correct time like 8:51 PM.
It also changed my menu.skin for some reason. I had the play button set so that it would play and stop instead of play and pause, and it changed it back to play and pause. It also reset the path for the phone to use freefone and I hate that app. I use phoco and I had to manually re-edit menu.skin to reflect that.
All this came after just messing with the backgrounds, I have no idea why this would happen.
While I am talking about RR CONFIG, why is it that every time I am in there making adjustments, if I dont place a check mark in "Use -remoteNoDesign (1.4 registered and higher only)" before I save and exit, it wont place it there. I have to do this every single time I make a change. It never sticks ever. I need it to stick and stay there.
If It is not checked that ragged phoco skin tries to load right along with RR.
Oh yeah one more thing. What can I do about gamma control? How is it supposed to be set properly?
I want to be able to toggle it like in 3 stages easily.

Got another issue. I have been fiddling with adding my XM unit and it works, but this is what I see sometimes. The text is all messed up and I am unsure why.
Where I can read up about all the settings and what they mean in rr config?

There is a "ReadMe.txt" file in your rr folder, in that file is what each setting is and how its used..

Awesome work as always john, looking forward to 3.0!
I am wondering if you could post your HD code. I got my HD tuner and started skinning my HD menu. Right now and I have it for the most part done but I want to compare to some of your code and test your menu out. If not its cool I can wait untill DFX 3.0 is released

I remember a battle with you involved at the 1,000th post in the Blue Devil thread. I remember it because I was your chief opponent. Maybe that's what John is remembering.

I am unsure about the clock thing, the skin has no way of switching the clock between standard and 24 hour views.
When you change the menu style, it copies over another skin from the Menus folder, overwriting any changes that you have made to the one in the skin directory. When you make changes to the main menu, you need to put those changes in the other menu skin files in that sub folder as well.
As for gamma, go to skin settings, Skins & Gamma, and the buttons on the bottom of that skin step through the gamma settings.

I can click on night gamma and it barely goes dark for 1.5 secs and its back. I would like to cycle through about 3 presses/steps into dark darker and darkest, then maybe a return to normal.
How do I accomplish this? I may not have one of the provided tools that came with your skin setup properly.
Please advise.

I have a situation to where I had an XM Commander and I cut the commander control head off of it, and wired in a female db9 connector. The XMC already had a power outlet so I only had to wire in 3 wires into the DB9.
All is well, almost.
I could pick up the Xm Preview and all just fine, so I subbed today and now I am a subscriber.
My only hang up is 2 things. If my key goes from running to acc, the connectivity to the XMC is lost. I have to most of the time reboot the computer to get it to make sound again. I am unsure why this is right now.
Second, when you want to listen to satellite radio in RoadRunner, it brings my main winamp volume way down and also the line way down.
I need those to stay up high and stay left alone.
I control all of my volume elsewhere.
Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?
